Alternator Part Number Confusion 🤷

I have a 05 and my alternator has gone bad my issue is what other (Nissan or Infiniti) cars has the same alternator the interchange is wrong Aldata says it's 04 to 08 Maxima only and I am referring to the 2 prong plug.. AutoZone has 2 options available the 11341 and the 11017 the one that came off my car is the 11017 but what else is this alternator on I have a 13940 came off a 06 3.5 Altima (U Pull and Pay) (tested bad) that bolts up and looks identical but all the research I have tried to do says it's just for the Altima so I have no idea and wondering if anybody else has gone through this my head is spinning 🤣 any help would be much appreciated..

Based on my interpretation of the info. associated with the Auto Zone units you’ve mentioned, it appears that the P/Ns 11341 are applicable to Maxima models bought/sold in Mexico and the P/Ns 11017 are applicable to models bought/sold in Canada and the US.

I’m not sure why your concerned about parts not specific for your vehicle …

Suit yourself to continue in your frustration quest, but with the needed parts (and plenty of them) apparently, being readily available, seems like perhaps you should just fix your car.

BTW, there are a good number of alternators for an ‘05 Maxima available at Rock Auto as well.

Thank you @Turbobink for your reply, but I'm trying to find a used one because of the cost difference (Pull and Pay $30 bucks) AutoZone about $200 my question is will another Nissan/infinity alternator fit my 05 Max if so which ones?? Sorry for the confusion I'm just being told that the interchange is only 04-08 Maxima's only will fit..

I understand the cost-thing and realize that some/many OEM parts are really expensive.

I’ve no idea what your budget is but, to me, a brand new or reman’d alternator, bought from a reputable parts-house for $147.00, inclusive of a life time warranty seems like a pretty good buy, as opposed to a salvage yard find that’s as old and likely as worn and weathered as the one you’re needing to replace.
