EBAY HEADERS INSTALL 04 auto - trials and tribulations.

So I purchased my cheap *** ebay headers, I think I paid 180$.

While installing, I re did the valve cover gaskets, rear plugs, 02 sensors obviously, cleam up of some wires, grounding kit and whatever else I came across. EGR block off is on its way.

I currently am lowered 2" in front and 1.8" in rear which comes with its own challenges, replaced basically all components of suspension to include outer tie rods this last week. axles are next with the rubber anti vibe bushing to see if that helps with the vibration which has gotten better over time (about 6 weeks). And I have an ebay catback.

I know my motor mounts are shot, my axles are on their way, and rust isn't on my side, but the whole cradle frame is brand new, new control arms, new struts basically almost everything has been replaced, to include the motor last year for a 2007 off a used nissan quest with 34k.

Ok so starting out i removed the fan, removed heat shield from header front, removed intake manifold and intake, moved all hoses and wires to the side, unhooked everything I could.

The front was easy, didn't run into to many issues other than it hitting the starter, so I took off the shield to the starter and that seemed to help.
Bank 1 in the other hand was a pita. I had to cut the heat shield in to peices with a sawlzaw and i cut the cat away from header them she fell out. The new one shocked, Mainly because there was no room to put the header back on, and that's when I realized that it's 2" short. The front one went on fine it was the back one that didn't even come close. So I put everything back together and started her up, Loud as **** of corse and I have to extend the two bottom o2 sensors this week but I will still throw a code due to egr delete. And when starter comes in I'm changing that.

My main concern is how low the ypipe sits. I have it at a shop for tomorrow morning and I'm gonna see what they say. It took me basically 2 days by myself to do this task. Which isn't bad and i didn't break anything which is also a bonus.

I don't plan on a tune yet AS this is my daily drive and the tune is about 1200 total, 600 for tune and 400-600 for safc2. Unless i can find a good deal somewhere.

Id do it Again, having the right tools, patience a heated garage and a second vehicle helps a Lot.

Front header installed, o2 installed bank 2, preping valve cover for RVT and reinstall.

Found bad plugs in front

Bad plugs in back

Used as temp egr block off plate

Leaking valve covers

About 3\" clearance with tire pressure at 15 lbs, going to 51lbs will help.

Ebay ypipe

Finished valve cover install with rvt seal

Too short

Hitting starter OEM size, orderd smaller one https://eccppautoparts.com/starter-smt0269-fit-for-nissan-1-piece-110153.html 50$

Doesn't touch anymore

Fixed by bashing the header flat

Also, had to basically keep egr, and all other sensors installed otherwise it went into limo mode vek rpm, so I dunno what to do about it, so I just leave everything he way it was.
