Torque Converter or bad slip?

About a month ago I had and issue where the mount for my batter had come loose, touched my positive terminal, and shut my car off on the interstate. It was only for a second but it had taken me from about 60mph to 20mph when it came back on. It was violent. Pulled over. Found the issues and made it home. Fried my battery so I had to replace it. I began to have issues with when slowing for stop lights, ect. After a 30 min ride, it'd jerk while gearing down and rpms would be too high for situation. I serviced my transmission and used some Stuff to help preserve CVT life. The issue progressed. When I pulled out of the driveway the other day, I heard clanking as if I had a limb under my car.. but I didn't. There is a slight wine and the car is not shifting right. Could that sudden hault with my battery issue have destroyed the belt portion or my Trans or shredded my TC? Am I screwed? Haha
