Getting ready to pull intake manifold, got a few questions!?

A couple weeks ago my 07 started missing bad rendering it undriveable imo, I noticed in the past that there would be a slight stumble/miss but it would go away for awhile so i never thought anything of it. I ordered new coils and installed them to cylinders 2,4 and 6 but its still missing, any short cuts or things to know while removing the intake? I read that I dont have to reinstall the bracket near the elbow that the 2 12mm bolts go to, it that true? Crazy part is, as bad as my car is running, it refuses to throw SES code making it harder for me, I pray its the coils and nothing else, besides an alternator, a cam sensor, and new front struts, this car has gave me 2 years of trouble free driving.

No one responded, but I’ll still update, installed the new coils on the back, misfire is GONE!! Its back smooth. I had no issues getting to the bracket bolts on the driver side, the job was extremely straightforward, i would of done it in under an hour easily, but someone installed the passenger side 10mm bracket bolt upside down, so I had the raise the manifold 7 inches and support, use 2 extensions with a swivel head to get it out from under the manifold side, i cracked a couple if vaccum hoses while removing them, i just taped them in the meantime until i get new ones, I DID NOT put either bracket back on while reassembling, so far so good, time will tell though.

Good for you.
Had mine done (sparks and coils and gaskets). All of that stinky smoke is gone. One thing I noticed after the job was complete and successful, when I goose it, I get a racecar sound effect which I never heard before even when new. My car and another guy's car, who did the same repair, had the same results, and we haven't been able to figure out what changed. Cars are running better than ever. There are post in here about that.

Nice! Did your Max throw a SES light with the bad coil? As bad as mines was running it did not throw a SES. Next repair I have to do is a complete new y pipe section on the exhaust, my car is loud right now, i found the entire section on Amazon and Ebay for a good price.

No, never had a light. Just the smoke and smell. Figured as long as plugs and coils would be accessible, I'd replace them. Only changed the back three coils. Plugs had over 100,000 miles on them.
