I purchased this 07 nissan maxima SL from a relative not running. He said he was driving it and the car just shut off, but it had started idling rough a week before. It lost communication with the key, I reprogrammed it, now it cranks and runs. The sparkplugs, ignition coils, VIAS solenoid battery and alternator have all been changed. It will still throw P0300 every so often and still have a rough idle. It was giving the code for VIAS solenoid. Battery was older then 5 years. Alternator wasnt charging. The one code I can't figure out is P0725. I've changed the crankshaft sensor. I have changed the VSS sensor but read that some may have up to 2 or 3 sensors. I've only change the one under the throttle body. Looking at live data on my scanner, the Engine speed seems to be accurate. When viewing graphs on my scanner of live data, the VSS seems to be be very wavy up and down when I zoom in 8x when not slowing down and speeding up sometimes.
