I can't post a new thread yet so I have to post in a reply. The links haven't been posted on nissanusa.com as of yet, but for those of you who are interested in getting more information on the 09 Maxima, here is a link to the 09 Nissan Maxima Owner's Manual.

Enjoy

Well, I just spent an hour reading the '09 Owners Manual, and still have probably a few hundred pages to go. I can remember when the Owner's Manual was about four pages (on my 1949 Studebaker).

There is an awful lot to know if we really want to understand EXACTLY how everything on the Maxima works. The Quick Reference is a much easier read, and will enable us to simply drive the car without knowing all the nit-picking details.

i like how they set up the 3 modes for the tranny.
D - drive mode - duh
Ds - drive sport - more agreesive drive mode
M- manual mode with the stick or paddles

manual mode is while the stick is in Ds position. BUT you can use the paddles temporarily while it's still in D

also like the rear climate/audio controls

I'm not famimliar with that manual, but I went to:
http://www.nissan-techinfo.com
bought a one day subscription and downloaded (in parts ) the fsm's for the 4th, 5th, 7th Gen Maxs and a friends 350Z. You can also get all the TSBs and Nav stuff. Painful, but it worked.

UPDATE!!!!

I got the two files that were corrupt on Nico forum.
You can download them here
http://rapidshare.com/files/201840838/fwd.zip.html
hopefully the Nico forum will get updated before the DL expires.
If you need the files, feel free to PM me.
Max

I did, but there is no way I can email or post it. It is 85 MB after being zipped and I just don't have the bandwidth to support files of that size.

Sorry - I sent Maxud and nico good versions of the corrupt files and that's about the best I can do. This site can support limited amounts of pics, but not large files ... pity as there is lots of older info that just gets lost over time.

High mount rear brake light

Anyone know how to remove the high mount rear brake light in 2011 Maxima? Would also need to know how to remove the upper trunk lining to get to it, and then if Nissan offers something to cover up the hole. The dealer (total lie in your face jerkoffs) installed a spoiler with the light and left the non-working high mount there. Don't want them to touch the car again. Thanks.

Yes, Push rearward on it and then pull up. Disconnect the electrical connector. No trunk access is needed. The carpeted "Blank" cover just goes back in the same manner as the light was removed.

You can find the covers on this webpage: http://www.mynissanpartstore.com/par...subcat3=159203

Are you talking about the fsms? (Factory Service Manuals)
nicoclub has them posted by section.
