From the '09 Owner's Manual:
If the windows do not close automatically
If the power window automatic function (closing only) does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the power window system.
  1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Close the door.
  3. Open the window more than halfway by operating the power window switch.
  4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch for more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.
  5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.
  6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.
If the power window automatic function does not operate properly after performing the above procedure, have your vehicle checked by a NISSAN dealer.

This worked perfectly! Thanks a bunch!

window tin

i got a quote of 175 for tinting my windows. they also sent a discalimer saying that its not actually legal in my state (PA), but said they would do it for me if i still wanted it done. thought that was an interesting comment. how much should it cost to get your windows done? obviously, materials vary, but otherwise?

a few places in Houston charge 89 for 4 door sedans and 109 for SUVs andTrucks. Not too bad. With Lifetime warranty

Hey, mine came factory tinted, I believe they are 30 something percent tint, but I want to get the 20%. With my black interior it will look even darker. But I recommend you not use the automatic lights. Though it is a great feature, you will quickly burn the bulbs out that way, like the guy said, when you go under bridges or dark passaged your lights will come on, even in the day, and they will turn off when you get out of the bridge or dark area. Think about it, your Xenon HIDs are going to blow out faster if they keep auto-ing on and off everyday. Just turn them onto AUTO at night, and when you park or get out turn them back off, that way if you forget they still go off.

Nope. Factory does not tint. Ever.

Many dealers add things like chrome wheels, spoiler, light tint, locking wheel lug nuts, sunroof wind deflector, etc. as a 'come-on'. Such things are usually desirable, and do increase chances the car will sell sooner.

But the factory never tints.

Tint would only make a difference to the auto lights if you tinted the windshield, which most folks do not do. Even if you do tint the windshield, the sensitivity of the the auto lights can be adjusted (to a limited degree).

I have no tint at all and my lights pop on under every bridge or even passing under a tree. Needs to be adjusted but not worth a trip to the dealer just for that.

uhh lol I know, this is not what I was stating in my post, I'm saying that people dirving in "AUTO" will burn their Xenon HIDs out faster than those who turn them on (or AUTO) at night or when you need it

No problems here, everything still works the same as the day I bought it.

I love how the front looks so aggressive, especially with the windows tinted.

It seems everyone wants to race me now.

its funny to see the disappointing look on the people who just bought the 08 when i pass them on the street.. and the look of altima owners is even funnier.. ... they strain their eyes trying to look inside .. but with 5% tint.. impossible....

Have 20%, going to 30%.

I got 20% all the way around. The guy did a great job. Came to my house and did 2 cars for $100 each. Unfortunately, for night driving, I think the 20% is a little dark. I'm going to have him take off the sides and re-do them with 30% and leave the rear window at 20%.

Tint on My baby!

I had my new Maxima tinted before I drove off the lot almost a month ago, the good thing is I live in Missouri and they have very laxed tinting laws, they only mandate the front to be at 35%. So I had the the two front at 35% and all the rear passenger and back window at 5% the look is sick on my Dark slate Max!

Will the Nissan dealer I bought from do the tint? I would assume it's a smart idea since the car is brand new and they would warranty the work. How much would they charge?

I don't want a DARK tint at all...just something to make the car look nice and have a little more privacy like an SUV in a way. Does the dealer know what's legal?

When I said I had the dealership tint my vehicle they themselves did not tint it they took it to an auto shop down the street that they take all of their vehicles for any customers. The topic of Warranty did not come up, but I am sure if there were any issues with my tint that the dealership I went through would take care of it. I got an awesome deal as well for the entire tint job it costed my $150.00, I absolutely love it!

Why go through the dealer if some random auto shop is gonna tint your 35k car?? That would make me nervous.

Warrensburg is getting old......

The only thing that keeps me going here in Missouri is the Wife, the house and the new MAX......I am originally from Hawaii and I was also in San Antonio before I PCS'd here, I have been all around the world and now I am stuck here ....... :-( I am not a fan of the cold nor am I a fan of being in the middle of no where.......This is my 6th assignment in 12 years of active duty, I have only been here two years and I am ready to go!!!!!!! But like I said this is what keeps me happy........

dude the 5% looks badass, real nice, I have 35% but I want to get it to 20%, I personally don't like it when the rear windows are darker than the front, it just looks off, but nice rides guys
