Maxima Colors?
Maxima Colors?
So with everyone that's seen the new Max, what colors do you think look the best? I just saw a white one, and I must say, that looks great on the new maxima. It just looks so clean and I think the white makes the maxima look more sporty and aggressive than any other color.

WINTER FROST BABY!!!
Tuscan sun-love it
I am set on the Tuscan Sun/ Charcoal SV/prem tech/spoiler-I love, love, love this car. I would really like to know if someone has the char/interior with the wood. I am torn between the 2 / with or without the wood-if someone has either I would really like your feedback.
juli - The Tuscan Sun is very beautiful - my dealer has only one Tuscan Sun at this time. I have yet to see a Tuscan Sun on the road. As to the interior, people here have expressed very strong feelings both ways. I would urge you to go to your dealer and sit in an '09 with Premium package (wood), then sit in one without Premium package (no wood). The outside color of the car won't enter into this, as a touch of the hood is the only outside part of the car that can even be seen while sitting inside.
I have had wood in my SLs and metal in my SEs, and loved them both. But there are variations of both type surfaces (some wood can look fakey, and some metal can look cheap), and I would not buy until I had examined both types.
Look closely at both, and go with your heart.
I like black. But I also wash and wax alot and keep it covered. If you aren't into washing your car, stay away from black and white.
Silver, what I had on a Honda. It could stay dirty for weeks and nobody would know but me. ha

Precision Gray !!
After some studying, I finally settled on Precision Gray with the Frost (light gray) interior. Mine is the 2009 SV with the Sport & Technology packages. Living in the south, the lighter colors don't get as hot sitting in the sun at work all day. The Precision Gray also doesn't show the dirt like the darker colors do. Of course, it gets regular baths, so the dirt isn't on there long...
Interesting thing I noticed in the brochure - the Frost interior isn't available with the Premium package - that package only comes with the Charcoal or Latte interiors ... maybe they think those blend better with the wood in the Premium package, who knows.
Anyways, this is one amazing car !!! Once I figure out how to post a picture, I'll post a couple of mine...

'Interesting' to you, frustrating to me. I emailed Nissan and found I coulodn't even special-order my Premium with Frost interior. I am choosing Cafe Latte for my interior because it is lighter than the Charcoal (although not as light as the Frost, which I have had in every Maxima of mine for the last 24 years). So far, this has been my biggest peeve with the '09, so I guess I should be very happy.

I finally got mine last night! I went straight from the airport to the dealer to pick it up! I was on the phone from vegas with the salesperson everyday just about. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS CAR. The Winter Frost/frost interior looks TERRIFIC!! I came home and dropped off a pizza and went back out again just to drive some more!! I'm in the process of loading up the hard drive with tunes!! Motor week also did their review. They said the Maxima was back and they missed it!!
Happy for you, d. Getting one of these new babies is almost like getting a real baby, except without the 3AM feedings and the diapers.
Saw a dark grey one the other day and it was sexy. I'm a sucker for grey...my bf has a grey 240sx and it's way beautiful! Other than grey, I've only seen white and I think black or blue sitting at the dealership while driving by.

I just took some in the garage! LOL! How do I post them again? If someone can PM me with the instructions?
I know this is corny, but I took a little matchbox car, the "Mach 5" from the Speed Racer cartoon (not the movie) and stuck velcro to the wheels and put it in my back window!!!
I'll post the pics soon!!

My fiancee test drove a dark grey which I believe is the Dark Slate. The saleman called it Smoke. My fiancee and I really like that colour, and I think that is what she will go with later this year. It really is a beautiful colour.
The Precision Gray is very similar (maybe a bit more blue and a tad less metallic) to the Polished Titanium on my '03. I tend to stay in the white-silver-charcoal-black spectrum of car colors, and the Polished Titanium was my most favorite of them all - nice fit between the silver and charcoal. I wanted my '07 in Precision Gray but Dark Slate and Sonoma Sunset were the only colors available at the very early time I leased it.
I couldn't make up my mind between the Radiant Silver and the Dark Slate. So I compromised and got Precision Gray. I regreted it the next morning, but was hoping the color would grow on me. But each day I liked it less. By day 5 I knew it had to go. Called my dealership, they told me to come in, no hassle no haggle. I got the Radiant Silver and I'm as happy as can be!!!!! (I guess it helped that it was my third car from them: 08 Altima Coupe, 05 Armada)

The Dark Slate is nice. But the Precision Gray morphed into a shade of light purple everytime I put it my garage, or if I parked under a light at night. It had to go back.
Radiant Silver Rules!!!!!
I had the option of Navy Blue, Radiant Silver, or Black for the options packages I wanted... (SV, Sport, Tech, Charcoal Leather). Had Black, don't care for Nissan's KH3... (needs some metallic, or pearl to it), and I've had a Silver Nissan in the past ('03 350Z Track), and while nice on the Maxima... I felt it a bit plain, so I went with the Navy Blue. =) They did have a Tuscan Sun on the lot, but it didn't have the tech package. Beautiful color though! If they'd had that with the options I wanted, I'd probably have chosen it over Navy Blue.
Originally, I wanted nothing but the white one (trying to stay in the theme with my previous Maximas 2000 & 2003) but when they bought me the Radiant Silver I fell for it.
Radiant Silver is the absolute best because it doesn't even look dirty even when it is and when it is clean you can clearly see it and the bling of it makes the car look even prettier than it really is, especially in the sunlight.

I also originally wanted the white. Then i went to another dealership that had a very good inventory of all colors and i couldn't decide. All the colors look good on this car. The black was also hot, but i refuse to try and maintain a black paint job
I ended up with the Red...

When the '09 colors were announced back in March, there were quite a few posts on this board lamenting that there were no dramatic colors such as halloween orange, fire engine red, sunburst yellow, electric blue, etc. I was glad such colors were not available, as the '09 Maxima is not a small car, not a cheap car, not a pocket rocket, not in any of the categories of cars that go well with overly bright colors. The Maxima is a fairly sizable, serious car, and deserves classy and tasteful colors.
The eight available colors are all very carefully chosen, and fit this car well. The only additional color I might have wished for would be the Burnt Umber (goldish orange) used as an intro color on the '04, and which originally appeared on the Zs of the early 1970s - the car that 'made' Datsun/Nissan in America. And I might even restrict that Burnt Umber to '09s equipped with the Sport package.
I would have been much happier had all interior colors been available with all major packages on the '09. For instance, living in a broiling climate, I have had only light (frost) interiors in every vehicle for over forty years, but frost interior is not available in the '09 Premium with winter frost (white) exterior. But I understand the economics and logistics involved in this situation. All-in-all, Nissan has done very well with the colors they made available on the '09.

I picked the white with a cafe latte interior and it is sharp. I have owned lot's of nice cars, but have never had all the comments that this one gets.
The car lines seem to pop better with the White or Silver... the darker colors seem to mute them.

I have owned mostly black rides, but this time I opted for the White. The main reson why, is with the dual moonrood in black glass, it set's off the white perfectly. Once I get the windows tinted it will look even better. My pics are posted in the member area. Cafe interior. Wheels to come in the Spring. I really love this car. I haven't seen many yet in my area (Jersey SHore). Which is nice, because I am getting a lot of stares. I came from a '05 Maxima SL, black/black. What a difference.
