psh im lookin for the wheels that are on clearance im lookin to spend 1200 -1500 then again im gettin 18-19 20s are to heavy unless u spend 4000 and then decreases power and if decreasing the power is what i intended on doing i would have got an altima lol

lol i feel u on the 5 spoke being too little for a sedan, thats why even number 1 was skeptical for me, i like the asantis u posted but im not a fan of the second one, my car has chrome accents, i dont like contrasting with machined idk, i like these asantis

but then again, as blackmax said, they get heavier at 20 instead of 19 and u lose power etc, some of the TSW in 19 would be light and still look hot

idk if the letters in the post will be too small for you to read all the way up there on your pedestal but i dont think those rims you posted look any better than any that have been on here, they're OK, and no one said anyones mind was made up on blowing 3-4 grand on rims, if i think theyre worth it, ill spend it, at the same token, the wheels that are gonna be in that price range will most likely be 20in and as we've been discussing, this car is meant really to be "sporty" with light weight 19's, if you have nothing to do other than knock mine, and everyone else's taste on this thread, please refrain from posting in it

Some 20's like the Forgestar F14 are actually lighter than the stock 19's, potentially some of the TSW's as well.

alright so my boy got a sl 63 in black and amg wheels hes got on look machined w black or kinda like gunmetal with black and it looks good even w the chrome stuff hes got on the car, so now im open to so many choices i dont know where to start F*&K! the only things im pretty much completely against is matte black, and silver (hyper), lets see what you gottt, I'm trying to have a good balance of sport and class, and i wanna stay btwn 19-20 with no more than 5lbs extra per wheel, this is so hard! haha

i mean 5 spokes r good for a coupe like G37 altima coupe but i cant stand seeing like 10-20 spoke rims on the road when its driving it looks like a plate rim makes me sick my boy just put like 18 spoke rims on his ford fusion i cant look at the car anymore its gross

i think 8-12 is nice 5 has to be a reallyyy sick wheel for me to bite, and over 12 spokes depends as well

Machined face

Hello everyone, i own a 2009 premium in precision gray, I've had 22" Verde Modonnas chrome since about a week after I bought it 2 years ago. I just sold the wheels a couple days ago and am now in the market for new wheels. I definitely want 22s again but I want to go staggered this time around. I've found three wheels that I like, but they all have a machined face with black accents. I just don't know whether it would look right on the car, mainly because of the light color. These are the wheels I like. tell me what you guys think.

a weak fittment on 22" will look weaker and will be more wasteful than a properly fitted 20" set up.

why u ask ? because the tires are hella lot more expensive, the 22" will be a heck of a lot heavier and ride quality on 25 series tires will be hell.... and all that to gain absolutely NOTHING.

these are pretty much all the wheels i like now, havent decided colors as far as gloss black chrome lip, machine w black and machine lip, i havent seen all chrome wheels look good on a max yet, and all black only looks good if i black out the rest of the chrome on my car and im not going for the murdered out look, andi feel like silver only looks good on silver or grey cars, so here they are..

A hyper silver wheel with black accents, or a black wheel with hyper silver accents will really pop against your black paint. I've always had the mentality that if you're going to drop a decent stack on new wheels, they should "pop" in a good way. Obviously you want the new wheels to complement the car, which is why you've been checking out different black finishes and wheel designs.

I'd definitely go with a polish or chrome lip with black spokes that have some type of chrome or hyper silver accents. This is one of my favorites that has a little of both:

Folks, keep it civil. Remember, if you ask 1000 folks for an opinion, you're going to get 1000 opinions, many of which you won't like.

In the end, it's your choice, no matter how many opinions you get.

For the sake of reading clarity, when you quote a post with photos, feel free to remove that part of the quote. No sense reposting massive photos that are right above your post.

Also, in case folks didn't know, if you go to a user's profile by clicking on their name, then click USER LISTS, there is an option to "ignore user" so you don't have to see someone's post.

Also, combined several other RIMS/WHEELS threads into this one and renamed this one to be more universal.

Yeah also if u go to Giovannas blog they got a pic of the black chrome one on a M3 bimmer! Looks sick I prolly should done 20s wit a drop but i just went with dueces. I ordered em from wheelsnext and u can only imagine how pissed I was when they said July. They originally told me 3 weeks, buts it's not their fault so I can't complain plus I'm attached to them now, lol! But i think they are available now 20s though from wheelspecialist. You can find the pic at wtwcorp and just do a search on their blog site! My max is black and I went with the all black gloss wheel. I had the chrome lip at first but then started seeing all these cars with all black gloss and switched up!

yeah i've seen the m3 pics **** looks awesome, and the PS pic of the max with them was really helpful on nycmax.org, i think all black will still look nice, id be more inclined for the all black if i had a 2011 grille and painted door handles etc like i said before, i got the E&G black ice grille, and all the normal chrome parts the max comes with, so i think the chrome lip will be a nice match cause i dont wanna black out my handles and emblems..just curious, are your bolts chrome so theres a little or is everything black?

Yea i joined the other forum just to see the photoshops, lol.Im plan using chrome bolts just to go with the chrome rivets... I like the black/ chrome combo I just see it so much in my area so I went with the all black gloss so tho its not chrome it will have that shine effect and the lip will just look so sick...here my max now tho

haha i was debating plasti dipping outta anger as well, car looks fresh, i feel you on the all black cause u got the all black grill and whatnot, i woulda done the same, since my grilles the black ice mesh and the window trim door handles and emblems are chrome, im gonna go with the chrome lip, MAYBE paint the door handles black, but leaving the rest chrome, it doesnt look tacky with chrome on a car if you keep it in moderation

yeah my tails are painted too, your tails look a lil bit darker. I really want to black chrome all the chrome pieces but the trim is to hard to remove so I'll prolly just paint the door handles and leave the rest chrome. I want to blackout my light housing but Im to afraid to do it myself and the shops are tryin to rape me so I might be SOL till i grow a pair. I see you got a 6th gen too huh?

being raped to paint housing is better than spending 1600$ to order the 2011's lol, and unless u know what ur doing i def wouldnt do it yourself lol, if you black out the door handles itll def look good u dont have to do the window trim cause then if u do window u should do emblems, trunk plate etc...yeh its a 6.5 it was my moms

^^^^haha You can say that again! Only reason i got em is bc insurance picked up the bill. That 1600 was included in the 11k it took to fix my max. Its not that hard to crack em and paint them, plenty of people here have done it.

I called Vossen today and they told me that they have the VVS-CV1 available staggered in 22", and after seeing the picture on their website I think I just found my new wheels.

Now I don't know which to go with the silver machined or the black machined. Which do you guys think would look better, the car is precision gray.

nice wheels, but imo 22s are too big.. make the car sit high and it doesn't look good..

but to each his own i guess.
