A little off topic, but do the 09's come with blank or drilled rotors?

They are blank rotors, they do have aftermarket slotted and drilled rotors out for the 09 MAX though. I don't think anyone has upgraded to those yet in this forum.

I just bought an 09 Maxima (Premium) and am amazed at what you guys have done. Great job!

Can you feel a difference with the Stillen intake? This was going to be my first add-on since my purchase 2 days ago.

You asked for opinions and you got them. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean people are "haters". Let's handle this like adults here please.

See my "hater" comment above. Everyone has their tastes and preferences, regardless of what generation Maxima they own, so let's not make this an inter-generational thing because this happens every time there is a new generation.

I have noticed more so in this setting than others this occurence happening so often. Don't get me wrong it is open to everyone and anyone, but I have not ever commented in any other forums because I don't own that particular model and have no information or refernce to base any opinions or info.

But I guess if you own a Nissan then you can make any comment you want!

Just wanted to make sure. Choice89, I only brought it up because it could be taken several ways, esp after Puppetmaster stepped in as a moderator to nip something in the bud before it could get out of hand.

The problem is, you're discussing rims. They are not specific to any one particular car usually and it's all about what one person likes over another. Kinda like music. You may NOT like what I like, and vice versa.

The reason the other moderator, Puppetmaster, called out those 2 posts was that what was said in them bordered on the line to inciting a flame fest. One thing to keep in mind, if someone ASKS for opinions, be very prepared to get opinions, both good and bad.

Most of the folks in the 7th gen area have been very civil. Hopefully it's because the cars are newer, pricy and we are of a more "mature" age. (I mean that in a good way. hehehe) No matter what another persons' opinion happens to be, let it roll off your back.

1 more thing. As far as reading in the other forums. You probably should. Our car is based on previous generations of the same car. Get a feel for the past history and track records of repair and you'll have an insight on what may happen to our cars in the future. ESP if you see Nissan has a track record of not fixing something, generation after generation.

This isn't about different rims, but what do OEM rims go for. I accidentally scraped mine on a curb this morning. The "pristineness" is gone now. I'm not a happy camper. Help.

Thanks. Yes, I was in this thread as a moderator and nothing else. I've been a member of this site for 5 years now so I've seen plenty of the "us vs the haters" and "all of you hate our generation because it is newer and you're jealous" crapfests, which is why I stepped in.

I think the newer generation subforums tend to get much more traffic initially from other gens because everyone else is naturally curious about the newest Maxima and all related information.

Additionally, you'll see that the admins/mods of this forum will try to help each other out across the forums if and when they notice something, even if it is in a subforum they are not responsible for, especially when it comes to general conduct.

20" 5 spokes are what is going to compliment this generation the best. The body is too smooth and round to put an intricate wheel on. The more basic the wheel, the better off it'll compliment the car. Any wheel similar to the Volk TE's and LE's will work well I think. Hell, for the money you guys are spending on these VIP rims, you'd be able to buy a couple sets...?

Does anyone know if there are any issues on a staggered fitment on the 09 Max? 20" x8.5 fronts & 20"x9.5 42mm offset on rears? Tire size for rear that will go to the edge of the lip of the wheels , not recessed back with the lip exposed further than tire.

I really like the 370z wheels - Photoshop anyone? Since the Z has a staggered setup, it looks like only the front wheels (19x9, +47 offset) would be a good fit. The rears are 19x10, +30 offset which I assume would not be suitable.

Does anyone know where to purchase them? I've searched the net without success thus far.
