Someone help me out: I want to buy 4 20x9 wheels. I want to be out as flush to the fenders as possible, and I'll use spacers if absolutely necessary. But what offset should I buy the wheels at? And what tire size would be best?

 

you going to need at least a 15mm spacer with a 255/35/20 tire to sit "hellaflush"

 

How do you know what size spacer when he didn't even list the offset ?

 

I was gonna say that lol. But to have a perfectly flush look, you'd need a slightly larger spacer in the rear anyways.

 

Thanks guys, ya, I'm trying to figure out what offset to look for primarily. I can then play with spacers to take it all the way to the edge, but I'd like to get as close as possible w/o spacers by just picking a good offset.

I haven't even decided the exact wheel to get, just need to know the right measurements first!

 

For 9" width. High +20 to low +30 should be ballpark.

Front:
20x8.5
20x9
Rear:

20x10.5
20x11

Anybody know of a reputable shop here in the NY area (queens preferably) that can roll the rear fenders on my Max? Just put the 370z 19 inch Rays on and am getting some rubbing when I turn the car just right. I'd like to eliminate this and would love to take it to a dependable shop somewhere around here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had my 09 Max for about 8mos. and Im looking to upgrade my rims. I want 22's but I'm skeptical about negative affects on the car with rims that big. I've looked online for rim and tire packages and some say 22 fit and some dont. I've seen some on here on 22's and 20's and they look pretty dope. I'd like to know the negative affects that you guys had with 22's had or what type adjustments if any did you make to get it right. Can't affored any forged ones so guys with forged rims can ignore. If i dont get 22's I pretty much decided to get versante 223's black/w machine pinstripe on a 245/35/20. Worried about the wheel gap though. Does anybody know how i can fill up that gap more without lowering it. Like a different tires size. Also, the streets where I live ar pretty f'ed up. Should i go with a 40 series or will they look to thick on the rim?

 

I've had plus sized wheels on like 5 different cars and never had any negative affects on any car. With 22s, your tires will be taller than the stock tire so that's why some sites say you can't go that big. But the advantage of have a tire taller than stock is reducing the wheel gap. As long as the offset and width are right, you shouldn't need to do anything to the car. To fill up the wheel well better with 20s, I'd use 255/35/20.

Same ones that come on the 370z and g37 with sport package... I painted them myself with VHT bright blue...check the other brake threads for more info...

Just installed these XO Miami wheels last week, Eibach drop.

 

Will try and get a better pic, yes they are 22's. 245/30/22 tire size.

 

I just put them on mine too... I love them, but as you can see I went with the black and machined. Still waiting to do my eibach drop. Prob gonna do it around April. Looks great bro.
