I have 20x8.5 with a 40mm offset. My car is a daily driver and I'm lowered with the Eibach Pro Kit. IMO my car rides better than it did at the stock height. The car feels more agile and responsive. If the drop is done right, you will likely enjoy the car more.

Anyone else agree with that?

Lowering it may be an option down the road, just don't want to deal with camber kits and uneven wear on tires. When I say I drive a lot, I mean about 800-1000 miles a week.

With the 40mm offset, how close to the fenders do your rims get, since that is only a 10mm change from the factory 50mm? *Edit* Using an offset calculator it looks like you gain 16mm towards the edge, got any pictures of how that looks?

Keeping it stock height because I do far too much driving in this car every day to have to deal with it being lowered.

I'm thinking of going with the TSW Nurburgring rims, has anyone seen these on any 7th gen Maximas?

Thanks
There is a member here that has a tread on these wheels. Put this in the search box and it will come up "TSW Nurburgring's installed-Pics".

As far as lowering, I really don't see the big deal imo due to the fact it is only an inch /inch and a half and with the size wheel you want and the offset you should not have any issues with alignment or rubbing. I'm sure others will chime in but I guess I was just lucky not to have any issues at all. Sometimes looking through treads can be a little discouraging but not everyone has issues with this car. I'm staggered 20x9/20x10 on eibachs with no rubbing or alignment issues!

Good luck!

Went to a rim shop and i guess being a replica ( made by velocity wheels) theyre cheap. Tiresare dirt cheap for off brands ...ab $107 for 245/30/22 i swapped my sensors , sold my oem 19"s and bought an extra tire to keep on hand as backup . Total out of pocket after selling oem"s... Ab 400 for 22"s

Gold Rims

I recently dipped my wheels black and was considering the gold look! I think it's worth it because of how much it stands out on the car. Won't see any other Max with gold wheels rolling around you, guarantee that! If you decide to, please put some pics up! As I'm going to be doing my wheels again (I feel I can make 'em look better a 2nd time around) and if you're gold is... well gold then I'm all for it!

will they fit

Found a set of 20 inch CV1 with tires that are pretty cheap in craiglist.
Fronts 10 width with a 35+ offset
Rears 10.5 width with a 35+offset.
Bolt pattern: 5x114.3

They were originally on a 2012 honda accord

Anyone running with this set up? any issues?
planning on getting them for my 2013 max lowered on Eibach.

20" Infiniti M37 Wheels

I got my Maxima about 2 months ago and finally found some Infiniti 20 M37 Sport wheels. I was originally going to put on OEM 19 Sport wheels but am pretty pleased with my choice. I will change out the center caps soon.

My alignment sheet after i lowered my car. Fronts are zeroed out, rears i am running a -1 camber.

https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/pts/4419006839.html

The accord in the pic is not dropped so i looks a bit funny. just worried mine would look like that

No...it purrs as I'm riding down the street, so I have to turn my radio down to hear it. However, when I step on it or accelerate hard, it roars like a beast! My wife even commented that it sounds like a big cat (throaty growl).

Have a quality shop do the work and you will be pleased. I also have the K&N Typhoon intake so it's breathing with ease. I'm really enjoying the ride to work in the mornings...sometimes I turn the radio off just so I can hear the purrrr.

Well I decided to bite the bullet and get the rims I wanted.

These are the TSW Nurburgrings Gunmetal w/ Machined Face
Ended up with a staggered setup:
20*8.5 ET40 fronts with 245/35ZR20
20*10 ET40 rears with 285/30ZR20

Stock height for now, but I do have the urge to do a touch of lowering to it.

If you lower it with that setup , that means you wont have rear passengers..like I posted below I have 19 inch rays with 275/35 at the back and it rubs when one adult male is at the back....but yours look awesome

Easily fixed by rolling rear fenders and a little negative camber.

Good to know, thanks man. I think I'm going to leave it stock height for a while, I think it looks pretty good as is.

So how does it work with concaving wheels? The wider the tire the bigger the concave I'm guessing? So this is where spacers would come into play too?

Guess I gotta research how wide I can go, or wanna go to make this wheel look good.

And then the question of, what kinda tires should I throw on it. Ooooo life and it's decisions lol.

finally after months of searching forums to decide what would look best, I just installed a set of vossen vvs084 and eibach pro-kit. 19x8.5 front and 19x10 in rear. unsure of the offsets. will get that posted along with more pics when I'm done with the dipping!

I'm thinking about chroming out my stock 19 inch rims on my 2012 Maxima SV.

Has anyone tried this "trade your stock rims in for chrome plated oem rims" before???

http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXCHANGE-YOUR-STOCK-4-NEW-19-FACTORY-NISSAN-MAXIMA-OEM-CHROME-WHEELS-RIMS-62583-/291135311059?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43c9044cd3&vxp=mtr
I'm interested as I want to keep the stock look but want the silver chrome shine from the rims to match the chrome accent trim around the window frame and door handle.

If you've done this, what's your experience? Or is there a better way? Couldn't find a place in MN to do Chrome Plating or PVD Chrome at the cost of $850. I got a quote from one place that said $250 per wheel which doesn't include shipping (they'd have to ship my wheels to a place in CA to do the PVD Chroming)...so this is around a $1500 for the service + shipping. For that price, I'd rather buy a set of aftermarket rims.

Cv3!

So the guy on craigslist i was going to buy a modest set up of cv1 bailed. I did find a set of cv3 next day and my "compulsive-ness" self kicked in. so i bought it!!!! more aggressive than what i was planning originally.

10.5 all around
+45 offset in the fronts
+25 offset in the rears

tire size: 245/35 should i trade those in for a 255/35 instead?

Nice. The front offset of 45 on 10.5 will rub inside if u have coilovers. I guess it doesn't rub in stock struts.

The rear offset might be too low for 10.5. Not sure if it will clear once your lowered even if u shaved the inside rear fender tabs.
