7th Generation Dual Panel Moonroof problem

The other day when I opened my moonroof, the front moonroof cover got stuck and then shot open. Today when I opened it and closed it the front one got stuck again- but this time it consistently gets stuck. It just started now that it's gotten so cold (it's 23 degrees here).

Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know if there is a track that may need greasing? Any other possible fixes aside from taking it to the dealer?

I have premium package car- so I am referring to the dual panel moonroof.

I've had mine since August and I haven't had any problems with the dual panel moonroof. However, I don't open it much because it's usually too hot out here.

rcaudi - Congrats on a very fine purchase!

How about trying all your roof options to see if you get any unusual sounds or results? Then let us know what you find. Only those like you with the Premium option might be able to duplicate Mastermind1's problem.

I have only tired the roof once, but I didnt ahve any issues...I am not one top open it in cold weather though .....Since the car is garaged, it may not make a difference as the tem there is warmer then outside. I have a feeling it might had something to do with the cold weather......

Why would you do anything BUT take your brand new (under warranty) car to the dealership?

You're right. However, If something came unseated from a track, I'd have no problem putting it back. I sure as hell ain't going to grease up my own ****. I may have misspoke. I more or less wanted to know if anyone else experienced this. I figured this might be like the seat track issue- people might have experienced this issue and we could inform others of something to watch out for.
