Got in the car this morning and the service engine soon light is on. WTF is up with that? Had the oil changed at 3750 miles; it now has 4600. Everything seems fine. Anyone every experience this???

 

gotta take back to the dealer.... that light should not be on any time soon!!!!

 

my salesman just told me that they prolly forgot to reset the trip comp. after the oil change?

 

Thats just what I was thinking.

 

so anyone know how to reset it? I dont feel like driving 40 miles and spend god knows how long just for that.

 

yeah i just had this problem about 2 weeks ago.. turns out it was really nothing.. just check that your gas cap is secure. when i took it in to Nissan they said it was a small Evap leak.. and it passed all the test .. so logically it was the gas cap like i assumed.. just push down hard on the cap and make sure it clicks a few times

update; It went off after a few days. Prolly was a oil change reminider.

 

how long did it stay like this i have an apointment whith the dealer tomorrow should i go or cancel ....thanks jixxer
