Aside from a loose driers seat, and a slight antifreeze smell in/out of the car, no complaints so far.
I wsh I could get 20+ MPG like some report, I average between 18 and 20 MPG
well to be quite honest, if you live and work in the city with a lot of stop and go traffic, even with the CVT your not going to get great gas mileage! I live and work in rural city area of Western NJ so I can get some pretty decent avg mpg around town!

I still hold true that where the Maxima and CVT really shine and do their best with mpg is on long open highway/interstate trips! the Maxima is a great road trip car!!

She does great. Even the darn'd RSAs are still good (5/32). The only issues I've had are a couple of busted windshields (lots of construction) and my climate controlled seat (no more issues!!!) But with that much driving you just have to keep up the routine maintenance...oil changes, air filters, cabin filters and wipers crop up more frequently than "normal people's schedules" really allow. Gas Mileage is good, no chips or dings in the paint, one of the better cars I've ever owned. Only complaint I have is she is a bit skittish in the wind (I think even more so than my bride's SUV) but that is about the extent of my "issues!!"

OUCH!! 16 Gals, 400-480 miles depending on the wind for me. But all that city driving (start and stop) can't be good for mpg. How are the breaks and suspension holding up?

so far i had to get the back rotors cut, for some odd reason they warped, everything was covered by warranty so i even got new break pads, As far as suspension every now and then in cold weather i hear a squeek in the front shock when i go over a bump, but otherwise so far so good

17,400. It's not helping that I am doing 90 miles a day to and from work!

At least in your Max you should be "enjoying" the commute more so than your old ride (at least I do!)

hearing this makes me feel alot better.. i was having a hard time doing 200 miles per tank.. and that can only be done when i'm paying special attention to how i'm driving (keeping an eye on the cars mpg calculator and adjusting my foot to get the best i can)... i live in ozone park , queens , ny..

but i agree on the statement about the maxima doing its best on the highway..

All interstate at highway speeds (5-7 mph over) and cruise control on will get you 485 mi/tank. I'm highly confident that I could get the car's MTE over 500 if I stayed at 55 mph

Wow man, that many miles and not one chip or ding in the paint? Thats increadable! How is that possible to have three cracked windshields and not one chip or ding. At 63,000 miles, and not chips from the road... I wish I had your luck or driving route. Do you have one of those clear bras or somthing??

The only "body damage" I have is a self-inflicted ding on the chrome around the read window (drivers) that I put on it within a week of getting it! I had a pepsi that I left on the roof that fell off and dinged it (DOH!) and last week during some high winds, I think a shopping cart gave me a kiss (no one else can see it but I can) Yes, I have been fortunate that no dings from all the road detrius...especially given all the broken windows! No, no clear bra. I don't crowd the driver ahead so I must get the "good bounce" on the rocks! Scary as all ****ens, but so far, no body or paint damage from them.

What's your "safe distance". I need to take notes from you. I hate being around big trucks in front or ahead and to the side

It isn't the typical Orlando Distance (where you are in the back seat of the car ahead!) I really try to keep to the "3 second" rule as much as possible (we all know that isn't always viable...especially in rush hour) but I've learned not to be in any hurry, stay off the brake, and to watch for the idiots (front and back.) Most of the rocks I've seen bouncing seem to be "side shots" (where the car to the left or right flings one my way.) I don't recall any coming from a truck (yet!)

Most of my driving is Turnpike, Beachline, 95 and 192 (so you can certainly understand all the construction!)

I try and stay back my self, trust me. I've even gone as far as waking up 30 minutes early so I did t have to be in any kinda rush on the way into work. I try, I try real hard be I have recieved my first chip . I have already ordered and applied touch up paint to cover the spots. You can't help everything but I do try.

It just makes you cringe when you see it comeing doesn't it. The touch up paint I bought from courtesy matches perfect. I had to cover it up quick because mine chiped down to the metal and I didn't want it to rust
