Wheel Sizes & Questions
Wheel Sizes & Questions
I was looking at getting some 20" Wheels for my Maxima. I have the Eibach Pro-Kit on my car, but I wanted to know if I will have to roll my fenders? So on bumps my tires won't hit the edge of the fender and slice my tires? Also, would a 20x10 all around poke out too much? Or would it feel flush with the fenders. Would running a staggered fitment like 20x10 in the back and 20x9 in the front affect the car since it's a FWD? Let me know about your guy's ideas or suggestion. This stuff has been on my mind for a while, but I never had the time to post it.
actually no you wouldnt have to roll your fenders, the drop is only mild, And a staggered fitment would look nice on a max, many people have done that, im sure you can find some pics on this forum, or on cardomain
That would defeat the purpose of a staggered wheel setup. I can never understand why anyone would want staggered wheels to begin with on a FWD car. Kind of ricer if you ask me.
I agree, thats why I was asking. Doesn't make make much sense to go staggered on a FWD car, unless u wanted a bigger lip on the back I guess. But again useless except for looks.
I could have sworn one of the aftermarker wheels guys has at least a 9.5" up front. I can't remember for the life of me who did it. Try reading through the `Rims` sticky thread. If you go with that all the way around with a 9.5 it would still be a pretty fat tire. It would look great and be functional as well.
wel staggered wheels look freakin sick if they are deep in the rear! However it is in fact, non-functional and useless on a fwd car. I personally would rather not take away the ability to rotate tires if I dont have to.
I wonder if a 275 series tire with a 30 offset in the rear would fit? I would like to love stick my Z rims/tires on my Max. I would try it this weekend but I'm heading to NYC for a couple weeks. Oh well I'll check on it when I get back.
Nice, I'm curious how that works out. With people getting wheel spacers and whatnot, I wonder what the max offset we can go is to avoid getting the spacers? Getting a bigger offset will allow for bigger lips for those who like that look as well. Personally, when the time comes I will be getting wheels with no lip whatsoever.

I'm curious who has eibach prokits and what size 20s are you running, 245/35/20 or wider 255/35/20? I'm afraid with the 255s and the eibach drop it will bottom out. Looking at 20x9 wheels btw. any comments would help. Thanks
