Thoughts on a silver Hood overlay

My buddy owns a vinyl graphics design place here in Long Island NY. I stopped by the other day to see a job he did on a new vette. It was sick!! Any way he was suggesting i do a silver hood that comes down and goes around the grill. Just like the hood looks on the Stillen maxima. My 09 maxima is black. What do you guys think of that look??

After I left I started think and I was concerened about the heat and the vinyl getting damaged. Is that an issue?

Sounds like the equivalent of a white civic with a "carbon fiber" hood.
Un-Good.

Edit: Now that I think about it a brushed aluminum would look pretty good against the black. Who doesn't like aluminum on black?

I say go for it! Do you want to look like every other black maxima out there? You will need to post some photos once it's done though.

Well, do you think it would look good? If so, do it. If not, don't. Why would you care what anyone else thinks about it?

the vinyl will not damage anything and it should be good for up to 7 years in direct sunlight.

You should be good to go

What color is your car though?

So im gonna hold off for now. My wife kind of talked me out of it. She brought up a good point. I have always been a class meets power type of guy and thats why i bought the black car. its so classy. Anyway its an idea if someone wants to run with it i would love to see how it comes out.
