Cargo Nets
Three cargo nets came with my '09 also; one for each side, and one crossinng the entire trunk. They were in the plastic bag that held the front license tag bracket.
I don't think I have seen anyone here with a '10 that had the nets.

No nets with mine. You'd think that a car with an msrp of $39.7K would have them...I'll call my salesman tomorrow. I was also shocked to learn that the IPOD interface cable was also discontinued on the 2010!

It made sense for Nissan to discontinue the iPod cable. Apple has changed the pin configuration a couple of times. Instead of Nissan having to keep up with Apple, they just let you use the cable that came with your device. USB connectivity also opened up other possibilities such as hooking up a flash drive or hard drive with music, photos, or videos stored on it.

At my two dealers, the locking lug nuts are 'dealer add-ons' installed after the car arrives from the factory. I can't speak for the 2010 Maxima, but locking lug nuts have not come from the factory with new Maximas in the past. They are usually the first thing my two dealers put on new cars, as these locking nuts reduce petty theft (nothing stops professional thieves).
I have been a little surprised about Nissan dropping the nets with the 2010. Part of the reasoning may have been the many complaints that the nets were not functioning properly. Many folks considered them as virtually useless.

ALL '09 and '10 Maximas come with mood lighting. It is standard on even the basic 'S'. Of course there are those who wonder whether it is worth mentioning. It is nothing more than a VERY faint soft glow on key areas of controls, etc, created by a recessed, dim light at the top of the cabin (near the moonroof controls). I only notice it when driving in dark areas with little or no light entering the cabin from street lights, stores, other cars, etc. I like it, because, once my eyes have adjusted to the dark of night on a long, lonely road, that very faint glow is all I need to enable me to easily find anything in the control area I might reach for.
Actually, we KNOW the Maxima does NOT come from the factory with locking lug nuts. How do we know? Two reasons:
1 - Locking lug nuts are not listed anywhere on any Nissan site, and they would have been included in one of the many lists of standard/optional equipment if Nissan included them with the car.
2 - I have owned nothing but Maximas for over 25 years, and, in looking back at the window stickers (which I save), the locking lug nuts were always listed on the smaller supplementary dealer sticker (along with paint sealent and upholstery protectant, etc), which tells me my dealer added them.
I knew this was true for past Maximas, and after thinking about this again, it would make no sense for this to suddenly change with the 7th gen.
Sorry, I know I'm late to this party...
I actually liked the cargo nets in my '08 Max. I didn't install them for more than 2 years, b/c I thot it was just one big net across the back that would obstruct me getting to stuff. One day I noticed that it was 2 small nets laying there in the corner, so I put 'em over those two virtually useless side indentations. They were really great to keep a stadium blanket, sweatshirt, etc. in one place instead of moving all over the place (since I drive like a maniac!) Then I totaled that car a month later.
I was disappointed to find that my 2010 Max didn't even have the nibs to hang nets on - as already pointed out on this thread. I thought maybe Nissan was offering it as an add-on (both nibs & nets) that I had missed in their slightly confusing marketing materials. I guess not, though?

As for locking lug nuts, I really like the Gorilla set I bought for my '08 -- and I just keep moving them over to my new Maximas. I feel like they're a more secure system. (But it's a bummer that Gorilla doesn't offer them in chrome coated...my 2-year-old set was already rusty when I put them on the new Max. So I soaked them in Fluid Film before installing them this time.)
Not sure why you guys are paying $40+ for the cargo net - the nets are listed for $20 on the nissan site under accessories for the '10 Maxima. And the wheel locks are definitely a dealer add-on - they too are listed on the site for $41 - I paid for the nets but the dealer gave me the locks for free (installed).

Depends on the dealer, mine didn't! For 38k bucks, this vehicle should come with a cargo net! They wanted to charge me the 30 or 40 bucks for the net, plus for two extra plastic clips at 8 bucks a pop because the net only came with two and you need four for it to stretch and stay properly in the trunk! So after getting a 38k dollar automobile, the rip off Nissan Dealership wanted me to pay over 50 bucks for a cargo net!
I told them to go and keep their stinking net. I went down to Pep Boys, bought a 16 or 18 buck cargo net that came with four clips and put it in the back of my trunk and it fits and works 10x better than the OEM net the Nissan stealership wanted me to pay over 50 bucks for!
Perfect example of why they are a stealership and why I don't do any servicing with a stealership to begin with, especially when they want to charge almost 100 bucks for one single oil and filter change with Ester oil! I mean my God, these Nissan stealerships are more than BMW and other luxury company prices for things and you most certainly don't get the same level of service and care and amenities that you would at a BMW, Audi, Lexus, or Cadillac stealership!

Hi I have a 2010 SV and I purchased a cargo net. Can someone tell me how they have it hooked up? Mine only has 2 hooks on the top, I cant find the 2 on the bottom. Is it possible they didnt add the bottom hooks on my car? Where would I get them? Thanks
I went down to a local dealer and asked to buy the cargo net for my 2010 max. He told me $40 and i need 2 screw clips for $1.60 each. I said the net was $20 on the nissan site and he said we need to order that one, i said forget it. I will buy from Courtesy Parts Nissan im guessing for that price. I wish it came with car but didnt and dealer is out of state. I would pay up to $20 but never for $40! Dam stealerships!!!! hahah
I think these other 2 screw/clips are what the dealer told me i need to buy as well..., mine didnt come with them either and not supposed to from what i know,,.. Can anyone confirm bottom clips come with the nets or add on?
nets
Bought a 2101 no nets but bought them from service for $20. I have found them to be helpful when putting things in the trunk that cannot spill like a gas can, etc.
the side nets are a little better to hold things a little more tightly but I can agree the design leaves a little to be desired....
