BlueBatMobile 7th Gen. Maxima Vinyl Overlays Here
so after about a month and a half i finally received my overlay...and what a disaster..it wasnt even cut correctly and just horrible quality...this will be the last time i ever buy something from bluebatmobile.
Ya I sent my headlights, tail lights and side mirror blinker overlays back to him and got my money back. They were not cut correctly at all. Hes sending overlays out to people when he hasn't tested them on a car down there at all yet.
shoot, i was so fustrated i crumbled it up and threw it in the garbage, i shoulda send it back to him
thats not bluebat-like..
i havent ordered max tails but ive ordered few times before..and of course with correct installation they fit fine...and as far as quality..ive had them on my G for 2 years now no problem whatsoever...

His customer service is also horrible. It took me a week and opening a pay pal dispute just to get my $ back from him after he had received them from USPS when I sent them back to him. Also often in times just trying to contact him was a task as it took 1-2 weeks just to get a response.
I have a friend who does vinyl striping, full wraps, and trim and I can vouch for his work. His name is Lyle,he has a site with alot of his work on there. (http://www.lylesvinylstyles.net/) He said if the forum'S 7th Genners are for it, he can make vinyl overlays for the trim, trunk piece, fogs, and whatever. My car is open for him to test fit. Anyone in? PM me or reply.
Well he has only been able to find a car do do R&D on the overlays on but not to actually test the products on himself so everyone that he is selling things to is basically a test mule.

I was going through a rough year at the time. I've been doing this as a side gig for many years now with excellent customer service and results. My apologies to those who were not happy with my product. I'm back on track now in my life and have revised the templates for the 7th gen Maximas. I have pics and will be adding them to my gallery soon. Thanks to those that stuck by me during these trying times. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, so I'm hoping to make it up to you guys. With that said, I'll offer a discount for a limited time for good pics! Email me if you are interested.

Mine overlays just arrived, any tips on installation anyone else can offer? Did you have to use a heat gun to stretch it at all? Curious how many tools I should get out/how much time I should reserve for this. Also wondering if it'd be easier to just pull the tail light off and do it inside, or do them while they're on the car. Good to do out of the sun I'm guessing?

did u get charcoal, smoke?
thanks! i have experience doing things LIKE this, but not exactly tail light tints. for $45 figured its worth a shot. curious what others experience has been installing the pre-cut ones, if they needed a heat gun or not.
if you used a heat gun, did you apply the overlay first and then just use the heat gun to stretch it to the places it doesnt reach? did you start from the back or the front of the light first (in relation to the car)? the stretching is what im nervous about because i dont want to stretch too much or pull in the wrong area and mess up another part of it.
i went with the darker 6/10 he offered, with the cutouts for the turn signal/reverse lights.

was just checking a few out actually before I read this, looks like taking the tail light out is the best way to work with it. probably gonna have a neighbor knock on my door letting me know "someone stole my tail light" haha. i think what mostly makes me nervous is these are precut so not much room for error.

Okay yeah so I tried this and gave up after I had one on and there were tons of wrinkles/bubbles in it. I tried using the heat gun to stretch them back out and it was working for a while but bubbles kept appearing in random places and there were a few places where the "wrinkles" wouldn't come out. Probably from holding the heat gun too close for too long. Oh well was worth a shot, at least I can tell anyone else who hasn't tried that if you haven't done this before good luck! Our tail light has a complicated shape to it that's for sure. Gonna either get a big sheet of tint and try again, or price out how much people charge to do it locally. Thanks for all the tips though guys!
