Fog Light Indicator Light?

Well - I think it's NON-EXISTENT? Was this also a problem with 2009's?
It clearly states in the manual, on page 2-14 ... 'The front fog light indicator light illuminates when the front fog lights are ON. See 'Fog light switch' later in this section ...

Also, on page 2-10, it is shown under the warning/indicator lights and audible reminders list in the box with the pretty little pictures ...

I like the 'if so equipped' line ... Um, I DO have fog lights, just no INDICATOR light when they are on!

Is this just me - or all Maximas?

Thanks!

I brought up the same question in a previous thread. But yes it's a misprint. They "recycled" that bit of text from a previous owners manual. The 2009 and 2010 do not have this light. Which sucks because sometimes I forget if I turned the fog lights on or not. So I find myself turning the switch on the stalk a couple of times to make sure I did or didn't.

I wish you could have fog lights on with just parking lights. Anyone figure that out?

I don't know why we need the fog light indicator? My Acura TL has it and I don't really see the point. The only thing I can think of is...I heard that using your fog lights is illegal in certain states if there is no fog...I dunno if this is true or not.

By the way I test drove a new 09 Maxima SV Sport last year and it DID have the fog light indicator...Reminded me of our M35 Sport which also has the fog light indicator...

Looks very good!

Ok, share the secret on the changes you made to get the fogs to come on without the headlights. Also are the fogs you have stock or aftermarket?

the fogs are aftermarket and for 09 S, its easy to make the fog come on with the parklight. you just wire the foglight wires to you parklight and a little minor modification. a shop did the job for me so i cant really give you step by step

It was a while back so I am not 100% sure but I really do think it was the FOG indicator light. Doesn't matter anyway.
