New HID bulb color....
Are HID bulbs supposed to change color at all over time? I just bought some new Oracle 8000k bulbs, which according to the website should be more blue compared ot the 6000k that I had previously. However after install and warm up I noticed that they are more of a greenish/blue hue something closer to their 10,000k bulb but not quite that extreme. heres their color chart of the website:

I just ask because I don't want to contact them about the color if its just a break-in issue. Thanks in advance fellas. heres what I'm talking about, 6000k bulb on the left, New 8000k bulb on the right:

Here the 6000k is on the right, new 8000k on the left:

youre not gonna see a lot of blue til you get to 10-12k. 15K being the bluest before you begin seeing hues of purple (ghey). 6-8 are really comparable. you can see a slight difference in your pic. i wouldnt expect to see much more difference than that. mine are 10K (sig)
btw, youre gonna get seriously harassed about your yellow font. not being a jerk or anything, just watchin out for a new guy.

Well I've had the fogs since last august, and haven't had any problems yet Knock on wood. I did take the time to properly aim them, so maybe that is helping cut down the glare a bit. Let me tell you though, they are crazy at cutting through fog, its almost like there is none

He said YELLOW FONT.
Where the heck are my aviator shades when I need them? Maybe if I close the drapes? (J/K)
We would like to know about the HID lights. But why bother?
lmao, im not trying to impress anyone, U fail. If others can use blue and red and other colors, why can't I use yellow. Its actually easier to read than blue or red. WTF?! how did this post become about my font, if you're not here to talk about the original post GTFO!

This the reason why this thread has been about your font color. You may use any font color you want. But if you want to communicate and not have the reader draw inferences from a funky font color, stick to what works.
Why don't you guys use the stock 4300K and do some sort of color mod in the projectors? That way you get the color you nancies want while keeping the best (that is stock) output instead of buying cheap, aftermarket, colored bulbs that make you like a try-hard.
You should consider that your yellow text is rendered by different browsers. Many people cannot read what you write because they cannot see it. What you see is not what we see.

I'm sorry for the Off-topic question but your picture is a perfect example. I wanted to know why our cars create those little rectangular boxes of light above the straight cut-off. I have factory HID and it seems like its an aftermarket one with that. Acura, BMW, etc that I see have a straight clean cut-off. I know someone on here is a HID expert and can let me know.
it's probably a reflector shield inside the projector....IF, nissan uses the same headlight housings for the non-hid lights, then that's why the factory HID lights have that glare. halogen projectors normally have a reflector in there.....
Im pretty positive thats what it is. My TL's create a small dome above the cutoff line, but when you put them on high beam the dome "turns on"

10,000K = zero visibility at night. Might look cool, but for folks like me who live in suburbia, 6000K is as high as you wanna go before you start losing lumen output. Deer and Mr. Fox aren't too forgiving...
