Dash Cover

Has anyone purchased a dash cover for their 2009/2010 Max?

I was looking at them online, but couldn't find any pictures of an actual dash cover on a 7th gen max.

Thanks.

A dash cover? Tell me that's one of those carpet things you put over the dash.

Well, yes, the dash cover I'm talking about IS one of those carpet mats. They're good for more than protecting the dash ... they're good at diffusing the sound coming from those tweeters in the dash. The sound waves bounce off of the windshield and come straight at your head, and that bothers my tinnitus, so I was thinking of getting one that didn't have the cutouts for the speakers so I could lay that down and hopefully fix the problem I have with the stereo.

As for vacuuming it, I don't care, I enjoy detailing my car

Dash covers are not my cup of tea. However if anyone does get one, remember there are two light sensors up there too, that should not be obstructed.

I think dash covers are more popular in the SW region, with their abundant and incessant sunshine. I understand that the UV rays and heat tend to do a number on the dash far more quickly than other locations, so it makes sense to want to protect the car.

It's not my cup of tea, it does have a legit purpose. Of course, a windshield sunshade would do much the same thing.

Except I'd be using the dash cover to diffuse the sound coming from the speakers ... so a windshield shade wouldn't do the same thing there
