35 with a 2011 SV Sport with the Monitor Package. Love the look of the 19" wheels! Couldn't go without. Just got into the Maxima after going a good ten years in a couple SUV's. 5) 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
6) 2004 Saturn Vue (I don't know why)

I'm 43 and bought an '09 Maxima last July. It was formerly a rental car, but I did my homework, pushed the dealer hard for a great deal, and it's a great car all around. I love it, although it is kind of basic - cloth seats, no navigation, Clarion stereo, had to install a Sirius unit since this one was not set up for the factory version. Current financial situation just wouldn't allow for the tricked-out version I would love to have, but that's OK - I considered a lot of different cars, including the Altima, but in the end, I felt it was more important to get the car I wanted and not worry so much about the extras.
This is my second Maxima. I previously owned an '04 - it was black, turbo, with leather seats, and built-in Sirius. I adored that car. I was working in the music biz in NYC in '03 and was part of a massive layoff. I got a new job within a week, so I had to move to Atlanta for it. I interviewed in Nashville one day and when I returned to the airport, I saw a black '04 Maxima on display there. I just stopped and stared - "What the hell car is that? It's amazing!," I thought. I had already bought a new car guide from the magazine stand, and I knew that I was most likely going to get the job, so I spent the plane ride doing all sorts of analyis, and by the time I landed, I was settled on the Maxima. No offense to owners of previous generations, but none of the earlier ones were ever of interest to me in the slightest. Upon seeing the 6th gen, I thought "That's a Maxima?!?"
Well, the music industry took another downturn and I was laid off from that job as well. I decided to pack my things and move back to my beloved NYC, where I didn't need a car, so I sadly sold my '04 and left it behind.
Fast forward a few years later - married, with child, and decided that CA would be a better place to raise the little one, not to mention the fact that NYC rents are obscene. We took a gamble because we moved out here even though I had quit my NYC job, but we had use of a family house until I got settled and it all worked out. As I said above, I considered many different cars (the mindset changes when one goes from single to father!), but in the end, I just had to have another Max!
Car history:
1983 Nissan Sentra (1988-1992)
1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse (1992-1995)
1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse (1995-2000)
No car 2000-end of '03 as I lived in NYC and didn't need one!
2004 Nissan Maxima (2004-2007)
No car mid-2007 to mid-2010
2009 Maxima (2010-present)

Like you, I love the Maxima, and automatically buy a new one with the release of each new generation.
Just turned 48 and have been a Maxima owner since 2003; loved the 6-spd manual option (2003 model) and was slightly discouraged that 7th gen didn't offer, but after driving was throuroughly impressed. Got an offer that I couldn't resist on a 2011 SV w/monitor, cold, splash & mats (love it so far).
I'm I'm 25, got a 2010 Maxima S with a few mods... Stillen RSB, kenwood DNX9960, JL audio C5's in front and back, JL 1000/1, JL 600/4, 2 JL w6v2's, Alpine headrest screens, stillen lip and roofwing, tinted tails, 20" Lexani's and i thinkk thats it.
I'm 25 and just got mine yesterday. 2011 SV with PP/Tech/Rear spoiler in Ocean Grey. I was torn between the G37x and the Maxima (and in all honesty I liked the G37 more) but the difference in lease payments was $80 a month and I had to drive 300 miles just to get the Infiniti...was not worth it to me since the Maxima drove very well and had the same in-cabin technology as the Infiniti.
I was coming from a 2010 Miata that I absolutely loved but couldn't keep due to an upcoming move to snowy Chicago!!

26. Just got my first Max a few days ago. SV with Premium and Tech. Super black with Cafe Latter leather and rear spoiler. Love the car so far, such a nice upgrade from my 06 4cyl 5spd Accord.
I'm in NY now, so can't do much in the way of tinting, but I'd love to get some nice dark tints when I move to FL in a year or so.
Looked at a lot of cars (Audi A4 - Too Small, Acura TL - Too Pricey, VW CC - Too Meh, Infinity G37 - Too Pricey) but kept coming back to the Maxima. After I picked it up I knew I had made the right choice.

32, but I actually bought the car for my wife who is 25. I drive an 08 chevy silverado lifted on 35's. I love driving the maxima though. Its the one with red stitched seats and a glass roof. Not sure what package that is. For the money it was the best car we drove. We were looking at MB C class, BMW 3 series and Lexus I series until we drove this. To get a car I felt was in the same class as the maxima in one of those brands you were going to have to spend close to 50K. I'm going to order some new wheels and tires and do a few other mods.
32 here. I got my 2011 with sport/tech pkgs about six weeks ago. I've considered replacing the fogs with a xenon kit to match the headlights, and adding a sub or two in the trunk. I probably won't change anything in the near future because I'm happy with the car as it is.
That's a pretty weird perspective to have. I'd say anyone who owns a 7th Gen that's under 25 is pretty lucky and should probably take a second to realize that if you haven't. If you already do, then props, but most people in their 20's in this country can't afford a luxury sedan unless they live with their parents.
nice. i paid less for my car but my payments are higher...lol. and yeah I didn't even factor in that many people paid upwards of 35k for their Max. its definitely worth it though..if this car had existed back in highschool I would have worked two jobs to own it
