Satellite radio glitch

I was driving to work today when all of my presets reset to CH1, the XM preview channel. Had to reprogram my favorites. Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't have a 7thgen, but always had my satellite in my 6.5gen. That has never happened to me.

Was it just the XM stations or radio as well? If it was XM only contact XM don't know about you but I'm still on the trial membership so I would expect it if it did. If it was the radio stations check your battery or wait for a few more post or check your battery terminals just in case.

Has not happened to mine. I'll ask the obvious, you didn't disconnect the battery or go to a service center and they did it did you?

I know you said you were "driving to work". So did you notice when you first got IN the car? Did it happen after you were driving already?

Also, did you let your subscription expire/lapse? Also, they change channels every now and then, did one of your favorites end up being one of the changes? Not sure if the radio would wipe your preset if it detected station change or not....

Those are the only things that really make sense. Either disconnected battery or expired subscription. I can't think of anything else that would cause this.

As mentioned in the original post, I was in motion, driving to work. All of the presets switched to channel 1. Not a huge issue. Just wondering if it was common.

As one of my presets (the last I think) is channel 1 (I only have 4 defined), I have unintentionally hit the channel button in the course of driving down the road but haven't actually had to reprogram my presets (1-4) that is.

Not sure if people know this but you have 18 XM presets not 6.

Each "XM" has six each. There is XM1, if you hit the "SAT" button you then move to "XM2". It has 6 of it's own presets. If you press "SAT" once again you switch to the third and final XM, "XM3". It has it's own 6 presets.

Is it possible you are just switching to an XM you havent yet programed?
