NAV SYSTEM FOR 09-10 MAXIMA S MODELS now AVAILABLE!

Hey guys,

I found out that a company by the name of Flyaudio(www.flyaudio.com) has made a Nav system for the S models. It is direct plug and play and replaces your existing amber screen. It looks official, check it out:

http://www.flyaudio.net/product_id.asp?id=198&xid=3

I seen one on ebay a few months ago but was hesitant on buying it because I didn't know who the manufacturer was. I might check it out this time.

Still looks kind of sketchy. The fact they are using the JDM Maxima (Teana I believe it is called) as the picture weirds me out too.

Yeah, this is definitely not a US based company. The Teana is a SE Asia version of the US Maxima, so my guess is the company is there as well. If you look threw there site, many of the pics are still in Asian letters(sorry dont' know which) and reading threw the english portions several misspellings and the grammar is that of a person that doesn't speak English as there first language.

Ah, found the US based site for link viewing pleasure. Or if you prefer direct link to 09 Maxima.

On a side note, after talking with my Dealership about why they don't offer a install and is such a pain is the harness assembly. Damn thing goes every where in the dash, plus there thoughts are if you wanted it you should of bought the SV+ model.

Man I would love to have an OEM nav unit for my S but I'm really skeptical about this. Any idea how much they cost? Would it void any of the factory warranty? It sure looks good in the pictures and the installation looks simple enough. Not sure if I would want to be the guinea pig on this one guys. I'm going to stop by my local dealership and check into this over the weekend. I'll keep you posted...

Not really sure on the prices at this place, but probably not too cheap. Wondering if they have actually done any RnD for Maximas or just used the Teana to mock up what needs to be done.

Now if your talking OEM from Nissan, the main harness assy alone will run you about $1K. As for the location of Nav, DVD and "other" parts, my guess is that they're all located behind the dash but don't quote me on it.

Personally, I won't touch this till some peeps have actually had it done and they are using Maxima mockup pics and not the Teana. But who knows, maybe they will come across our little ole site and offer to do a couple RnD mockups.

Thank you for your interest in FlyAudio products. Currently we are out of stock on the Nissan models and our factory is getting ready to launch the new generation products, so the products for Nissan might be discontinued for a while until a couple of months later. Thank you.

I found something similar with possibly the same company, but branded on a different website:

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/1010...igation-7.html

wondering how legit the company actually is and how similar the Teana and Maxima's consoles would be to import this into a 2009 Maxima S

This does look sketchy, but if legit would be a nice option for S owners. Hell it looks interesting to me if the screen is higher resolution and it has a built-in DVD-motion "hack".

My 6 cd changer in my Maxima S went out. It stopped reading the discs so I am thinking about buying an aftermarket Nav. Only what happens to the top screen? The one that reads the radio station and a/c temp?

As you can see, I am new here. I have a ton of questions to ask.

I believe the temp controls will still be there but the upper portion would just be blank and have that orange color background.

here is an example of someone on the forum:

There's a "Function" tab on the front page of that website misspelled as "Fuction" . Scares me for whatever other possible typos they made on the programming of this module!
