Almost without exception*, mine stays in my left front pocket, and for all practical purposes is inaccessible there with the seat belt fastened. I have no problem with that - if you really enjoy driving, your drive time is far more enjoyable when you make it your quiet time/downtime/off-the-grid time and don't let the rest of the world intrude.


*The one exception I can think of offhand is if we're on a trip or long drive, my wife's phone is either home or out of battery, and there is reason to expect a call from family. In that case mine goes wherever there's a place left to hold it (my shirt or jacket pocket included). But if it does ring (buzz, actually), she gets to deal with whoever it is.
