Question Noisey Sunroof when opened

I have a 2009 Maxiam with the dual sun roofs (1 sun roof and 1 moon roof - you know what I mean). Anyway has anyone found a solution for the extermly noisey ride when opened ?

I had a 97 Maxima that virtually had no noise when the sunroof was opened ? Any ideas ?

Do you have your windows open at the same time? I usually ride with all the windows cracked a little and it isn't too bad.

Ok as stupid as this sounds, the answer is no. I usually leave the windows closed with the SR opened... I will try it but my wind noise is very loud with the SR opened.

When driving with the sunroof open, I usually crack the rear door windows a few inches. I have rain guards, so there is no chance rain gets in if I forget to close them. Cracking the front windows seems to add wind noise right beside the folks sitting in front.

I usually leave the sunroof closed when driving over 45 MPH, and always close it if driving over 55 MPH. Not worth the noise.

will one of the gay sunroof deflectors help with the noise? I like the smooth flat roof so I dont want to add one.

The roof opens above the other one so there is going to be a lot of wind noise whenever the sunroof is open. In other cars, the glass usually slides into the roof so there is no exterior parts for the wind to slam against causing the noise.

Very true. I was relieved to see Nissan took the trouble to design this double-panel roof so that, when open, it would ride level and not follow the countour of the roof, which would have made it act like an airfoil, tending to have a lifting action on the car. In any event, I feel it may not be a good idea to have it open at speeds over 55 MPH.

Yeah the noise sucks big time. I'm so use to driving with my roof open in my '03 maxima. When you have it just tilted its still noisey and doesnt do much. Why didnt they make it the way Bmw has theres. that really would have been cool
