Sunroof chatter

I've recently noticed that my sunroof started to "chatter" when opening, like it need some lube.

Anyone else notice this, or is it an isolated occurrence with my car?

Note this is a single-panel sunroof, not the Premium dual-panel roof. I did see there was a TSB for "chattering" when opening / closing on the dual-panel sunroof.

Mine is doing it too. It's a '10 with about 7k miles on it. I'm going to have the dealer lube it up next time I'm in for an oil change. The chatter IS NOT normal and requires lube.

Yes, I'm sure the thing was not designed with chatter in mind. Definitely needs either something lubed or an adjustment.

you can lube it yourself. pretty sure they use white grease.

Yeah, I had to do that on my last car a few times, including the day I traded it for the Max .

I still have the tube of white lithium grease I used, however, I'll let the dealer do it since it's under warranty and should have been lubed better from the factory.

I'm thinking of just letting the dealer to it as well, since I have a few punch list items to be resolved before my warranty runs out.

I don't think it would be technically difficult, but I don't have and white lithium or silicon grease on-hand.

I'm not sure if the issue is about insufficient lube on from the factory, or that I have the sunroof open a lot, and the sun / wind / dirt has blown it off the important areas.
