Odd tickings and Speaker Pops?

Yesterday while driving to Brooklyn i noticed an annoying tapping of some sort from the right side of my car. At first I thought it may be the sunroof as it was open but I closed it and still heard it. It wasn't the metal buckles of the seat belts and there was nothing loose in the car. Has anyone had this issue yet? It was just a *tap* *tap* *tap* sound... Another odd issue is my speakers gave off a similar ticking sound with my ipod connected...thinking more I wonder if the tapping was only coming from the right side speakers before and then suddenly switched to my forward ones near my dash. Anyone have clues on this? Is the tapping from the right-side separate or could it have been crackle from those speakers which then moved to the front speakers? I can't tell if there are two issues are linked or not. I can confirm that when i turned off my sound system the crackling stopped on the forward speakers.

I have a similar issue from time to time. I get a staccato buzzing sound from the right side speakers, even with the radio is turned off. Usually happens when my wife is in the car with her Blackberry. I think it has something to do with the location of the BBerry and it transmitting.

Interesting. I usually have my blackberry in the sunglass box with the bluetooth connected. I'll have to go through a few more drives and see if thats the case.

If it helps, the wife keeps her BBerry in her purse. The purse goes on the passenger side floor, on the left side up against the center console.

I notice the buzzing maybe 2-3 times a month. I have also heard it maybe 2-3 times when she's not in the car.

I had an issue like this but it only happened with the XM radio. Very weird. It took me a long long time to convince the dealer that it was a problem with the radio. Finally got them to replance the whole navi/radio and the I haven't had an issue since. It's been a long time now. I started a thead on my problem. Here is a link

Hope this helps.

Usually the crackling noise is due to GSM phones (ATT and TMobile) that are about to receive a call you will hear speakers buzz or the computer monitor flicker a little bit.
