So much for sterotyping drivers

Less than a mile west of me lies a nice residential street with the usual cul-de-sac at the end. The lots there range from 7 acres to 14 acres. One of the two cul-de-sac lots has some sort of a German embassy (or German ambassador's home?). That home has a fortress look, with huge iron gates blocking the driveway, and a big German flag on a tall flagpole. I have seen a black Mercedes S550 entering and leaving that place. They return our wave, but never smile.

On the lot beside it lies a beautiful large brick and rock home on a landscaped rise that my wife and I toured several times as it was being constructed. When the recession arrived, the price on that home was dropped to $899K, which is $200K below the initial asking price. It was bought by a retired doctor. We dropped by and visited/welcomed him just after he closed on the home. He is well into his seventies. Today, my wife and I saw him rolling out of his driveway in a 7th gen Dark Slate Maxima SPORT (NOT PREMIUM). We waved, and he waved back with a big smile on his face.

So much for sterotypes.

Yep. A Sport. I don't expect to see him doing much modding, though.

Same with my pops, He went from audi A4 to audi A8 to BMW 335i to 2010 Maxima sport loaded. He is wealthy and made a choice to step down in class do to economic times and besides my uncle works for nissan and gave us both good deals. To me the Maxima is high class in my eyes as well without the high end name~

A discerning person doesn't always consider the cost. Kudo's to your neighbor and I must say I admire his taste in cars.

There is no need for excuses. A Maxima is a more than decent car in its own right, and you don't have to compare it against anything else in order to be happy with one.
