headlight overlays

Hey guys, Im thinking about getting some headlight overlays, but I don't want the entire headlight tinted, I want it to have cutouts for the low beams and maybe the high beams. What are your thoughts? All opinions are welcome. Also, if someone could photoshop it that would be great.

Are you trying to get that 2011 headlight look? That's what I want to get.

When I got mines that's what I wanted to do but the guy that did the work for me told me that if I did cut out the pieces that If i ever decided to take them off that there would be the cut marks on the plastic lens of the headlight since they can't cut and put it cuz it has to many angles to pre cut before putting them on

I would take that risk I think it looks better than just having the whole headlight done, although that still looks good. I wanna be a little different.

why not open the headlights and paint the actual housing? i've done that to previous cars and it doesn't affect light output. i've still debating whether i want to do it to the maxima or not...i'm not sure how it would look on crimson black....

I would like to do that, but my car is leased, i dont wanna have to buy a whole new set of headlights if this is irreversible.

you right bout how it will look on crimson black. i have the super black and painted mine anodized blue/black and set off the car crazy. not all color car will look good if the headlight housing is painted IMO

I actually asked the guy who painted some of my chrome on my car black about opening the headlight and painting the parts that are chrome inside the headlight to get that 2011 look. He said that the headlights are sealed vacuum tight. He said he could open it but he said you might have condensation build up in the light. I don't know if I want to take that risk and have condensation built up in the headlight.

Hey, I'm curious how your headlights look. I'm looking to doing it also but in black only. If you don't mind can you post a picture of your headlights. If you don't want to post it could you p.m. it to me. If not no problem. Thanks
