Congrats on your new car purchase, but by judging by your other posts, it seems that you might have gotten taken on this deal. If you don't feel right about it, then take it back with your 7-day return policy. There are cars to be found! The max has been a great car for me, we have 17K miles on it an not an ounce of a problem. I saw you had one up of the truck, that people said it was misaligned. It did look like the gaps weren't right.

Post up some more pics of your ride!!!

Like others have mentioned in some of your other threads, your best bet at this point is to take the car back. It sounds like you spent a lot of time finding this car and you like it in general but the more you look at it, the more issues you find. Take it back. I know it is a headache to do so but if you do not you will be stuck paying for a car that was misrepresented to you. Worst of all, you know it was misrepresented but you are keeping it when you do not have to. There are plenty of other Maximas out there in better shape and for better deals.

Sounds as if the Tech that did the inspection was like a young airman that worked for me back in the day. Part of the Preventive Maintenance Inspection process for a Tropospheric Scatter Radio System said "...check the water level for the 50KW Klystron...." The Airman in question dutifully did so. What he did NOT do was turn the page where it said "..if low, fill to the proper level...." resulting in a very long day and embarrassment for me in front of my commander.

haha that's funny!

so here's an update, the low washer reservoir was due to a leak somewhere in the reservoir to nozzle system. it turns out to be a big puddle of water-washer fluid below the reservoir.

the nozzle squirt was very weak so I thought it was because the reservoir was low on fluid, after a few low pressure squirts the reservoir went empty fast even after filling up the reservoir.

the good news is the dealer is totally cooperative and will get it fixed. they send out their work to a national franchise mechanic and this car dealer is also a national franchise.

the dilema now is whether I should keep it or return it. I have until wednesday.

but If I let them take it to the national franchise mechanic, then it's a done deal and I will have to take it. I can't have them fix everything and then say I don't want it. They will also replace two tires with brand new ones.

Where did you buy this car at? They don't have mechanics?

I say return it. I think that you're afraid to be without your Maxima. Go find another one, do all the paperwork, and once you return it go take delivery of the other one. Plus nobody wants a car that's been in an accident, not even a minor fender bender.

Don't be afraid, take advantage of your opportunity!

it was a corporate franchise, I'd rather not say any names until after I decide and finish my transaction.

but yah I have decided to return it. but man if only other manufacturers made something as nice as the maxima body style.

in a year or two I think toyota and hyundai are going to come out with some crazy designed, quality cars; and at that point our nissan's will be even worth a lot less.

well here in cali, there is a optional cooling off period that cost 200 dollars.

if I do decide to return it, they charge 200 dollars as a "cleaning" fee, but that fee is really a fee for the cooling off period that you "think" you got for free.

turns out the cooling off period expires tomorrow and I have to turn it in tomorrow. The finance guy made it seem like it was thursday.
