No resistors needed at all. All we did was swap and solder. Over and over and over again. Lol.

As far as switching the rest of the interior LEDs, it's something I am doing but you can't tell. Those LEDs are so small, they really don't illuminate bright enough to notice their color. I am swapping for uniformity in the car because I'm **** like that but for no other reason. I don't notice it.

That's good to know. I may do this in red once i finish up the rest of the last touches on mine. Keep with the slate/black/red theme. I get the feeling it'll get put off for a while though. You're right in that it's a very tedious mod in that you pretty much have to hook the cluster up and check after each new LED is soldered on. I also broke one of my needles when i did my 350

Props again on the good looking job. Interested in seeing what other members end up doing.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but....
I assume MooShoo decided that doing this as a fee-based service was not worth the hassle.

However, I was just looking at a used 2012 on cars.com and I noticed this picture....I then looked up some 2012 and 2013 pics and they all seem to have NON-ORANGE instrument gauges!

I just bought my 2010 3 weeks ago, the ORANGE saturation is making me want to vomit and now it seems that the 2012 updates included a new gauge color and its not mentioned ANYWHERE!

I have a 2012 and my gauge luckily isnt orange; however, I have noticed that the part tht shows "MPG" and "MPH" in the above picture has become slightly yellowish, almost looking dirty, while the rest of the cluster (the part that shows Miles (on the right that also shows P for park), is pure white. Has anyone with a 2012 noticed that??

I tried to take a picture but it is really hard to tell the difference in the picture

I did the LED swap too on my 2010. I love it. All what everything. Very tedious and steady hands are needed.

After my swap I could notice the difference ur talkin about. But that is normal. Its because those are two different types of LCD screens.

The cluster isn't that hard to get apart. Bunch of clips.

My friend said he would do them but you would have to pay for shipping both ways. Two day turn around time.
would your friend still swap those leds if i send him mine? looks baad a.. s!!!
you need to patent that!! make some money out of it!!
