Where can I find...?
Where can I find...?
I came across this video on youtube and would definetly be interested in something like this. It looks like a dual color blinker for the headlight. It kind of bothers me that my headlights and foglights match but the amber light next to my low beam HID makes the low beam look a different color (see pic). Any ideas where to get it/bulb size etc.?

you're talking about these - http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/T...-p6204097.html
I have em and they're tight. Slight delay when switching between colors but other than that works great and very bright. If you order from somewhere else make sure you get CK style or they won't work.

One note about the switchbacks...mine look great at night but are semi-dim in the daylight. If you want something that is very bright in both day and night get the 92 LED switchbacks from V-LEDs. Pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for with LED's.
I got some red LED's for my rear turn signals off eBay and you couldn't see them at all during the daytime...sucked...had to eat it and get some expensive ones from V-Leds but MAN they are BRIGHT! Damn things came with a built-in heat sink so they can put out more power.

Nice, hope you picked the right ones because I just took your word for it and ordered them. Should be here in a week or so and I will def post pics/vid when they come in.

Just ordered the ones you reccomended but now I'm scared people won't be able to see my blinker in the daytime. Can you send me a link for the 92 LED ones? I'll order them both and send back the ones I dont need (going to read their return policy now). Andd would they have ones that would match my 8k HIDs. I see those are 6k but it will still look better than amber.

And here's an older daytime pic showing all lights on; with the white active

Here's a night time pic of the white part of the lights...as you can see at night they're PLENTY bright.

Called v-leds to cancel the last order I made for the 60 led. I ordered the same type in 92 led and they do max at 6k which is fine with me (6K HID WHITE AMBER DUAL COLOR CK TYPE 2 CHANGING SWITCHBACK 92 LED TURN SIGNAL BULBS 3157 3157NA 3357 3457 4157 4057$69.99). I also ordered the turn signal fix (6 OHM 50W 2 BULB LED LOAD EQUALIZER RESISTORS TURN SIGNAL BLINKER FIX $6.99), which I believe I need as well to avoid the hyper-blink. Now I'm just hoping they're not too bright loll. This forum is the best!
Tight man, you're going to love them! And yeah you nailed it, you need load resistors otherwise they "hyper flash" or blink very quickly and also have the chance of burning out prematurely. One thing to note is the tap-in connectors V-LEDs sells I was NOT able to get working - I think they're too big for the wires and don't splice them. I had to pick some generic ones up at Radioshack to splice in with tap-in connectors.
Also, something to consider is you'll need 2 sets of 6 ohm resistors if you end up changing out the rear turn signals for LED's later. If you're going to do that you might as well buy them now and get 3 ohm resistors - which you only need one set of but won't work unless you do both front and back if I understand correctly.
Make sure you mount the resistors in a safe spot away from wires - I mounted mine using high-heat 3M adhesive tape and used wire ties to keep wires away from it - they get hot!
Also if you want help with how to actually install everything, search this forum for "Hamzer mods" - another member, Hamzer, wrote up a how-to on how to get to the headlights and wire up everything - it's very helpful.
