Thumbs up Shamus' "Maxima" Billet Battery Tie Down

Got mine about a week or so ago, but been busy with work. Here's a big ups to Shamus for the hook-up on a great part for a good price! All my 7th gen'ers out there, this is a great, inexpensive mod, and fits our cars w/o a problem! No hardware necessary!

Literally installed it in my underwear in a matter of minutes with a 10mm deep well socket; removed three 10mm bolts & only reinstalled two, as there is no reinstalling the bracket that holds the back side of the ECU. Weight reduction

Get yours from Shamus on this thread:

Yeah, slowly but surely. I sell foreclosures all over the state of FL & I have about 50 properties right now, covering about 250 miles North to South, and 2 kids under 2 years old Needless to say, time is not on my side! When I get some free time, I'll get them done, and mounted/balanced/etc.

But of course! But typically you'd already have it in a battery box, I'd hope. LOL

Other than looks and weight is there another reason for this mod? Is the factory bracket flawed in some way? Just wondering. Thanks.

C'mon man. Use some common sense. It's a cosmetic modification. Nothing more, nothing less.

OP, I think they look good. I think having these anodized in different colors would be really cool.

This tie-down should fit the 6thgen and maybe most gens too. Let me know if I am wrong. And yes, if it comes in polished colors or black, would be nice. I might just get me one.

OP, you praise the product but you have not provided a price so we all can jump too, if interested. Let us know how much it costs.

Yes, cosmetic in nature. Just a cool mod I'm sure you could talk to Shamus and see if he could offer it in other various colors?

Again, probably worth a PM or email to Shamus (producer of the product) to see if he offers a color variation? It definitely fits other generations, as the 7th gen had not yet been tested... Now we know!

Sorry about the pricing/etc - I had included this link in my OP, but here it is again, I had it linked to the last page of this thread by accident, instead of the 1st page where Shamus has all the info on the purchase:

Enjoy, fellas!
