Where to buy cabin air filters?

Hey all, I'm coming near the point where I have to change out my cabin air filter. My Nissan dealership wants $45 for the thing. There are cheaper ones at the local part store (Autozone?), but they're about 6"x7"x1" when the original filter is 10"x11"x3/4". Where else should I be looking?

Also, if you have any thoughts on keeping the new car smell, or just a nice interior scent in general, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

Any particular sellers, products, and appropriate price ranges? They start at eight bucks and go to fifty, I don't want to buy something that won't last a year or won't filter properly.

Have you contacted DaveB yet? (see "dealership and vendor experiences" forum if you don't know who DaveB is...)

I remember seeing an earlier thread about this a few months back. Most folks who swapped the filter out themselves said it was best to use a Nissan OEM cabin filter. Become friends with the parts dept folks at your local dealer like I have and it won't cost you as much

It's actually not too bad on the courtesyparts site, something like $15 per. Shipping is $10 though. WM appears to sell Fram filters. Their site isn't too mobile-friendly, I'm unsure of the part number.

The FAQ has a link to an install thread. May want to read that over before doing it, and feel free to use the SEARCH button for other cabin filter threads with useful info.

Yeah $45 at a dealer is robbery, or they misunderstood what you were looking for. Call another dealer. Should not be over $20. .....And Yes OEMs seem to be the easiest to remove and install since you will have to squeeze it down to fit it into the small slotted opening.

I have the standard S model, so only one filter. That Fram doesn't look like the right size. I've emailed DaveB (thanks for the recommendation!). If I don't hear from him, I'll opt for the website I mentioned earlier or EBay. Thanks y'all.

Have you actually tried these or just searched for them? I'd be interested to see if they are the right size and if the the filter is better than OEM. I tried to buy these locally and they were the wrong size. I just stock up at the dealer once and awhile $15/filter.
