yeah several times i had to stop, and re-plan what i was doing and then re-work everything. if i knew what I was doing and how big the projector inside was it probably would have been closer to half that...but yeah there was a lot of soldering and pre-wiring...btw i never said i was a pro at this lol

Just messing with ya man. With that amount of wiring/soldering and a first time baking headlights 40 hours is swift. Quality takes time

Dan, just post all the photos to a Photobucket Album, and post the link to the album here on the Org. That way you're not using the forum's bandwidth, but the members here can see all the photos you took along the way!
PS: Great job!

It was a little nerve wracking baking them but after i did the first one i was much more confident. It was a pain in the *** getting the soldering and leds done and fitted so when i put it back together things didnt break off.
pdate on the leds btw i highly recommend pre testing any leds you plan to use in your headlight and run them for a week or two to make sure they arent duds. I got two duds in mine that burnt out after 30 hrs of use (you can see a bunch of others complained about the white superflux from Oznium as well - read on another website 180customs has a box of 1000's of dead ones so definitely a manufacturer issue) so am opening them back up next week to replace with some ive stress tested. before i got them the owner assured me that batch was fine, but not entirely so just to be safe i recommend pre-testing (for a while) anything you're gonna put in your headlight
and thanks again for the love everyone! much appreciated after all that hard work

Projects like that make my tourette's flair up. Most of us can't or are not willing to take on a project like that. This is why your headlight set up will stay fairly unique. Bad *** lights man.

yeah man you can go really deep into it with retrofitted projectors and all kinds of crazy stuff. i didnt wanna mess with the housing TOO much so tried to work with what I had it being my first headlight project and all. it'd be crazy to get in there with a dremel and put in a new housing and have to aim it correctly and all that. def give props to the cats who do this for a living!

quick update : Ghozt headlights v2 coming this weekend (barring any crazy natural disasters)
changes : fixing Iron Man (couple dud LEDs), adding more LEDs for RGB demon eye (so its brighter), replacing the CCFL angel eye with an Umnitza Orion V2 LED angel eye, and changing my wireless remote to a wireless remote w/dimmer option

Very exciting!
Could you take pics of those angel eyes and how you massaged them onto the lense?
Also if you were to do it over again would you use 70mm angel eyes or bigger/smaller?
Thanks!
