A35 design, up there with the exotics
clearly in my earlier post i said that i wouldnt even call the likes of a GTR an exotic.
oh just because I drive a 5th gen it automatically means that I dont know what category each car belongs to??? Last time I checked autotrader was a website to sell your used car on, not a place to pull facts from.
Who mentioned anything about rapper and redneck mods in this thread?
sums it up

maxima.org does not doubt your sub 300hp fwd cvt trans 4 door pulled on a 400hp+ 6spd manual rwd american muscle.
I'd call the skyline the exotic, but QT1 5MT AE has a 5th gen and knows exactly what exotic cars are.
autotrader.com lists the lamborghini gallardo as a "luxury car" so who knows what ?
I find it funny when people get so angst about labeling something "exotic" while they give the thumbs up to billet grilles, nascar flames, hood skull mascots, chrome bling wheels, and the treacherous lip spoiler...and lastly, owning a 4th, 5th, or 6th gen maxima.

Trust me man ur tryin to troll the wrong guy I dont think my car is the holy grail of the automotive world, I couldve just as easily got a 335i, Camaro SS, Challenger SRT-8, name it I prob couldve pulled it off. I didnt get this car thinking i was gonna tear up asphalt in it.
google Define: exotic
7th gen maxima/jaguar: used strictly for ordinary purposes and encountered ordinarily
Lamborghini murcielago SV: not used for ordinary purposes and hardly encountered
pretty much sums it up without having to further look up "exotic cars".
lock it up !

yes, and it means a lot of other things to.

you and a few others are taking the word "exotic" way out of porportion.

last i checked maximas start at 32...... and if you think they are "the best" in that range, you're deeply mistaken my friend. a 27k WRX does circles around this car in every-single-department. and once you get into the high 30's, the STI Limited truley dominates. just my two cents

I dont blame you guys for calling bull**** on this bc I honetly wouldnt believe it w/o seeing it. I was very suprised, its not like keeping up with 425 hp v8's is a routine thing for me. The 7 Gen really puts the power down when your already rolling.
I was including the used car market as well...maybe you should just go to the WRX website forum.
maxima A35 is the best and that's why u are here.

doood does the car have to be exactly the same for u to realize how similar they are ?
seriously you just proved my point, and those cars are the exact cars that the a35 maxima resembles. Do u understand what "on par" means ? goodness gracious what a total waste of time.
it unbelievable, all this debate over something so trivial to only prove my original topic to be right.
you have just wasted my time and every other participating member of this thread.

they look the same cuz they all have 4 wheels, windows and lights, other than that the 7th gen truley looks like a bucket compared to the other 3.
then go to the other wrx forum, it's obvious u have a secret desire for the a35...and looking at those jag's just re-affirms my stand, the maxima a35 is up there in terms of design...and wow what a massive and bountiful design the a35 truly is...and to top it off, it looks nothing like the jags, it has it's own identity.
blah blah im here cuz i own a 5th gen..... i browse wrx forums too. A35 is best lol.......... wouldnt be caught dead paying anythin close to 20grand for one, let alone 40. thats just me tho...

can someone please end this stupid thread after I post this. I took a pic this morning before leaving for work. Leave the term exotic alone when talking about the max. Plain and simple, its not.

bahahaha and here we were thinkin you're joking with us when you said you had a lambo.
PWNT
COMPARED TO THOSE CARS, the Maxima looks like a boxy, pug faced, lego like design that a 7 year old came up with after looking at their mom's botched botox job. It's like they drew the front and back of the car and just decided to connect the two with some sheet metal to fill the gap.
Just for the record, I do not think the 7th gen is an ugly car. I also do not think it is a beautiful work of art. It's a good looking car, but not to the extent you are trying to make it.

Yell and screem all you want, but I'm done trying to convince you. Different strokes, different folks. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
Oh, and as someone else pointed out, please do not use the word "exotic". In most peoples minds, "exotic" conjures up images of Lambo's, Ferrari's, etc. I think you were trying to go with "luxury", but who knows?
continue the conversation when u get a a35.
denial is a river in where ?

jag looks like an actual jaguar running ? whatever man, my attempt to read your posting halted at that point.
u know u love the a35, it's just wicked. wow!

No, it does not. However, the Jag has the lines of an actual Jaguar or Cheetah running through the wild and getting ready to pounce. The Aston looks like a .50 cal bullet wearing an Armani suit. Even the Infiniti has sexy curves like a woman.

You're the one who started the thread.
By proving you wrong? I'm sure 99% of people reading this thread would agree with me.

I think we all agree that Lambo is sick...I like how your garage is so wide you can park at an angle lol
It must be extremely frustrating owning a Lambo and being forced to drive it under the speed limit. Hell it's frustrating for me in my Max. I'd either have a ton of tickets or have to move to Germany and take it on the autobahn. We need an American autobahn...
Haha taht is soo true, Ive only taken my Max above 120 on two or three occasions in my one year of ownership. I dont know how I could have 560 Italian Ponies behind me and not use them!! Chances are Cops wont catch up to you anyways in their little Chargers.
Yeah imagine a top speed over 200, you'd barely take it out of park and be at the speed limit. If I were a cop and saw a Lambo I'd call and have a chopper stand-by lol
160 comes up quick thats for sure
Not an exotic by any means, but not exactly cookie cutter vanilla either. I happen to like the design a lot.
Quote from the 2011 Maxima press kit:
"On the road or standing still, Maxima offers a dynamic presence that clearly distinguishes it from other mid-size sedans. With an exterior design theme that its creators call “Liquid Motion,” Maxima’s exterior is highlighted by the flow of its powerful and beautiful surfaces, like the undulation of a wave. The look starts with Maxima’s aggressive stance and powerful fender volume, which is not unlike that of many exotic sports cars.
This deeply sculpted body/fender treatment is seldom used for mass market vehicles because of the engineering and manufacturing complexity required to physically accomplish it. Maxima’s aggressive performance stance is created by its sporty proportions – a careful balance between wheelbase and overall length, along with a wide front and rear track."

I'm sorry to say this but I am not the first to use the word "exotic" in relation to the a35 maxima. However, I am also not the one who compares the jaguar car design to the form of a actual jaguar.
when I say the word exotic, I am refering to the porportions of the maxima a35 body design. The porportion between the mid section back glass to the big wide bulging hips, from the windshield width to the big bulging fenders. These porportions are DRASTIC and do NOT pretend to be a certain way. It doesn't try to "mimick" anything. The overwhelming sensation is usually achieved with the more expensive, exotic luxury coupe and sedans like jaguar, aston, etc.
when u see it from the back, u see these big bulging quarter panels that overwhelms the rest of the car. When u see it from the front, the bulging fenders overwhelms the rest of the car. No other car in the 30k price range takes it that far.
