lol if anyone wants to PS this on a black max itd be appreciated, i like that its a lot lighter than the OEM but i feel like a carbon fiber hood might take away the classiness of the car

Could just paint it. My concern is the trashy streets here in Memphis. I already have rock chips in my hood paint all the way down to the metal. It'd be lovely to have a cracked CF hood.

Not really feelin' the "CF" hood. I'll have to see it in person. For now, I'll give it a C+ based on what I see..... but then again, it's just my opinion.

Cut me some slack i'm having an off day haha. At least it's something new for the 7th gens which is in short supply now-a-days. Honestly even if it's horrible, in my opinion i welcome any new stuff for our cars. The more options people have the more diversity there will be. As it is now pretty much everyone has the exact same thing other than wheels.

Looks good, the 7th Gen Maxima has the same hood design as the G35/37, so just google that to see what it would look like.

Considering the 7th Gen is now going into it's 4th model year, and is now widely available in the used car market, maybe companies will start to make more parts

looks pretty good on some g37's from what ive seen, also saw it on some white ones, i think itd look good for the people w white 7th gens that have dark tints and the black overlay over the roof of the car, tinted windshield would help the look too

Looks good.

I wonder if the CF hood is any lighter than the OEM since on the 6thgen, the OEM is actually lighter…

I dunno... stock hood is pretty damn light. Be weary about these CF hoods though. I know too many people that have had nothing but problems with them (fitment was crap, poor quality, stock hardware never lined up correctly, etc).

Plus, a CF hood for less than $500?

It's just like fiberglass body parts. May need alot of massaging to make it fit. And with it being CF it's next to impossible to add fill to any spots.

Not a big fan of it..kinda seems like it would take away from the "classiness". but maybe on a white max like gqblair put it, might not b too shabby...paint the sides of it to make it fit better into the composition (or so the carbon fiber patter doesnt look out-of-place) nd u might have urself a decent looking hood

Hadn't viewed this thread, but saw this and it must have just hit me at the perfect time and I just started laughing uncontrollably.

We need a bit of humor around here lately, even if it's subtle.

i love carbon but not sure if it goes well with the classy maxima. But for sure it would look better on a white max with the black roof.

I think the oddness of the look comes more from the shape of our front fenders and hood rather than the actual color of the car it's going on. The lines don't really mesh well with just throwing a different color hood on.

The stock hood is ALUMINIUM for pete's sake, thats retty damn lite.
Also, that 70% lighter claim is not in direct reference to the 7th Gen max hood.
I remember not that long ago when most people would die for a stock aluminium hood on a street vehicle.
