Jacked and stoned...my wheels that is.
All I can say is WOW...some people have ***** OF STEEL! Some one reeeeeeeaaaaaallly like my factory 19's. Woke up this morning to go to the gym, opened my car door and almost got in when I turned and noticed something missing. They jacked all 4 of my wheels and used garden stones to prop it up.
I live in a gated community, with roving security, with a very bright street light right next to our driveway. Security showed me his log where he drove by like 4 times last night and early AM. Just goes to show you, noone is immune from being jacked. Oh well...thank God for insurance.

Now THOSE dudes that did it have some SERIOUS *****. I'm wondering if the security guard knows them... hmmmm.
He drove by four times last night where your car sits and there's a bright street light out. Either they snagged the wheels before he came on shift or he simply wasn't paying attention while he was driving. How could anyone see that awesome ride, drive by it and then later drive by it again and NOT notice the damn wheels missing???? WTF???? Something's not right here.

yea something seems up with that so called security guard and either way that sucks big time. Look at the bright side, you will get new rims (removes how many tens of thousands of miles worth of damage?) and you can get out of the crappy crappy eagle RS-A tires. Use that money to buy something decent like the michelin pilot super sports or continental extreme contact DW or DWS. Either of those tire sets new would be more than your deductible probably...also looks like the front is resting on the hub, get a new one of those in the insurance claim.

You can get the money for the rims from insurance ($780/piece +tires), and buy the rims I'm selling (which are BRAND new), and pocket the rest
:shameless plug:
But sorry to hear about your loss. Curious though, did you have wheel locks?

That sucks but im going to be honest i am ing over here.
Make sure to go to the dealer later today get a quote on how much each wheel cost, and quote new tires mount and balance and install. ALL AT THE DEALER, make sure to request that you dont want any discounts in the quote because their prices are sky high, take your insurance money it will probably be a bit over 2Gs and buy whatever wheels (370z nismo wheels go for about $1300 all over the place) you like and make sure to use some sturdy wheel locks this time round.
good luck

Wheel locks are ridiculously easy to defeat. They are mostly there for your comfort. Plus it keeps semi honest people honest. They do require one or two tools that anyone can buy, but thief's would need to bring the tools with them and have the intention of doing it, not just random people driving by. Anyone who really wanted the wheels can get past wheel locks easy.

Thought about a motion sensor light but since we have a street light the brightens our driveway and house figured it was useless.
No chance of fingerprints. my guess is no point. Dont they just fingerprint for grand theft and murder and such?
Adjuster is on his way to do his thing. Luckily I already have a rental, unluckily its not a max. Its red camaro. Geico did a really great job at turning this whole thing around quickly. Hopefully fixing it and paying for it is as fast.

I can't find the article but a Ford dealer was hit and something like 20-30 F150's had the 20's stolen, odd series of events, construction was being done at the dealer and lights in the back lot were shut off, wheels stolen

I'm sorry, but something is up here. This is no ordinary run of the mill theft. Your average criminal is going to stay away from gated communities with security like a cat from a bathtub.
There are hundreds of other Maximas out there with the same wheels as yours that were in less risky locations for thieves to steal them from. They wouldn't dare enter a neighborhood like yours unless they had a plan and they knew they weren't going to get caught.
I would report this security guard to whoever is in charge of your community. Stealing wheels is not a quick, quiet process that can go unnoticed. In a case like this, I would not be surprised in the least if he was involved.
I hope you have contacted the police about this and filed a report with them as well.
Watch eBay and Craigslist like a hawk. I check multiple times a day to see if any ads for 2010 Maxima 19's pop up near you.
Also, big question: if you live in a gated community, don't they have to pass through the gate? I'm assuming it's monitored at all times or there's some kind of passcode to get in. That tells me that either someone who lives in your neighborhood or works for security has to be involved.

Wow that sucks, times are getting tough people are getting desperate. This definately sounds like an inside job considering the circumstances, and wheel locks are good and will deter some. To professional thieves it just adds a few extra seconds to each wheel....

So how about u let me jack ur new wheels and u can say it happened again......
o yea it can be a very quick process with two people and two jacks, those wheelS can come off faster then u saying ""your paying for the R&D"
