rolled exhaust tips or raw, flat edge ?
just wanted to get a consensus on the two different styles, I actually prefer the original, flat edge, raw look. It matches the car a lot more.
then of course in typical nissan fashion, the upgraded cosmetics usually make it look worse.

It is rolled OEM? I sliced that **** out of my finger the other day when I was washing the car.

Otherwise look at aftermarket tips/mufflers.

rolled all the way...but going to kill two birds with one stone when switchin to the Stillen exhaust...anyone knows sizes for the stillen tips vs stock..btw mine are sharp edge...never liked them like that and always changed to rolled

Always liked the rolled look better... lends a more classy look to the car (a la BMW, Benz, Audi, etc).

Anyone know where to get OEM Nissan rolled tips? I have the flat tips. I prefer the rolled tips like on my gen5. Has anyone changed out their flat for rolled tips?
Are these tips welded on? How much would it cost to swap out the tips? Im keeping the factory exhaust. Thanks.

I checked, Nissan doesn't sell just the tips. If you want the factory rolled tips you'll need to pony up some $$$ for new mufflers.
Otherwise look at aftermarket tips/mufflers.

Let me clarify. Does anyone know where to get OEM-like exhaust tips? I prefer the factory look of the rolled tips. Even though Nissan doesn't sell tips separately, there has to be some OEM manufacturer (like Gentex for our auto-dim mirrors) who sells them spearately.
I would prefer them to be welded on. Does anyone know the cost of welding exhaust tips off-hand? Thanks again.

As for the welding, I would think that would not be expensive. I don't know if special solder is needed for exhaust systems. I bet many muffler shops are equipped to do this, and would have exactly the solder needed.

Surely someone here will help us with where to get aftermarket rolled tips. As long as the diameter is the same, the tips would not need to be Maxima-specific.

Thanks light, I found a thread awhile back. Someone got oem-looking tips but they weren't quite the same. The end wasn't flared out as wide as the oem ones.
Muffler shops doh! Thanks. Its been over 19 years since the car bug hit me. I am a total noob again. Last car I lowered and modded was my 240sx. I kept my gen 3 and gen 5 completely stock!
However I did mod an Xterra in 2000 and a Tundra in 05 but those are trucks not cars hehe.

Here's the link I got it from. This is a 5" flat tip (rolled of course), but he has so many different tips it ain't funny! Look at his other items. He has them in smaller sizes, but our factory tips are 4.75" wide anyway, and I wanted to fill up the cut-out in the bumper. Kinda like fillin' the wheel gap
