Another intake question

Hey, I'm new here. Just got my maxima a couple weeks ago and don't know much about working on cars myself

I'm looking for an intake for my car. A friend of mine has a cheapy universal intake that he's not using and is willing to let me use till I can find a decent one. My question is about wires and hoses that need to plug into the intake. I know the MAF needs to plug in but what else is there that will need to be plugged into the intake. Are there any other hoses or wires?

Also just wondering if anyone knows off hand how big the hole that the intake connects to is.

Sorry I don't know the names or terminology. Hopefully you can understand what I'm asking. If not let me know.

Thanks in advance

I don't know much about Maxima engines like Ghozt but I think a cheap intake is a big no especially if it's dealing with an engine component. If I were you just get a K&N drop in filter like I did. There is a very slight difference in sound but other than that, it's lifetime and it brought my car 3-4 MPG up.

Thanks for the comments. You are probably right. I think I'll wait.

Still interested in finding out how many wires and hoses are attached to the factory box if anyone knows off hand.

Thanks again

Anyone have an intake for sale?

i think its one hose and the most important thing is the map sensor without that you will throw codes and have the check engine light come on.
