i think its just surface rust. what probably happened was a rock chipped the paint all the way down to the metal and with water, the surface gets rusted

this isn't normal surface rust cause there are no chips there and theres atleast 20 or more spots on all 4 doors and theres bubbles under the chrome on the truck lid of rust.

i really dont think its rust if its over the paint. do you feel a different texture when you swab your finger over the spots?

its not something a camera would pick up i dont think but i will try tomorrow ,it be like if you took a pen and placed a dot on a piece of paper thats the size of the rust on the paint but theres no chip just dots.

I have seen this before and it turned out to be little specks of tar!! Try some tar remover! You might be surprised! Hopefully!!!!

It's called fall out and/or rail dust that causes little orange specs on the paint, it's only easily noticeable on a white, silver or other light colors. All you need to do is clay your car. Depending on how long it's been there sometimes just a light cleaning wax or light polish applied by hand can get rid of it but clay is usually way faster/easier.
