I will say that the torque steer has gradually gone down for me over the many Maxima generations.
It wasn't there in gen 1 because gen 1 was RWD. I had two gen 2 Maximas, and the torque steer was definitely there in both. But it seemed to lessen with each gen for me, although my 5th gen 2002 SE definitely had some. But my 6th gen '04 had very little, and my 7th gen '09 has not shown me any so far.
But we know a few folks here have had it on their 7th gens. So it may be tied to something like driving habits, road surface, tire wear, etc, etc.
I think almost any FWD V6 can create torque steer if we go full throttle into a sharp turn.

I think your last comment hit it on the head. Now that I think about it it seems to be worst as I accellerate up a curving on-ramp. And if you drive the Merritt Parkway in CT you know how hard you have to get on it with those tight, miniscule on-ramps.Originally Posted by lightonthehill
