When listening to Pandora over Bluetooth is there a way to have the Bluetooth screen display the cover art from Pandora? Right now all the screen displays is "no display."

nah our car doesn't support it, if you want it to show on the screen get an iPod or use XMRadio

 

It was a little tricky, basically I needed to setup two bluetooth connections from the Maxima to the phone. The first connection is for making a phone call. The second connection is for any audio that's output from the phone but is not related to a phone call. I can listen to Pandora, any podcast, or any other audio output from the phone over the Maxima blue tooth. It's cool, but no graphic display.

 

I saw somewhere else, also, if you just start playing a playlist from your ipod/iphone and then back out, you can go start pandora and it wil play the music that way as well. Again, it won't display the song, but you don't need to BT connections either.

 

Pandora thru bluetooth audio works great on my 2012 w/ nav and with iPhone 4S. Displays the artist/song name on the 7" screen and everything. Cover art however is a no go with BT audio in general I believe. as far as i know cover art only displays when plugging iphone in via USB (not via BT).

My only complaint about this system is more about the Bluetooth audio in general w iphone in that it skips occasionally. That may be an iPhone problem though (and not a Nissan problem).

 

How do you set up the 2nd Bluetooth connection? Does it only work if you have the nav package?

 

I'm interested in this as well. I have an '09 so my display is alot different but still, I use pandora all the time but have to plug it in. If I could use the BT that would be perfect, but I've never figured out how to make it work.

 

Bluetooth Streaming Audio is only on the 2010 model year or newer Tech Package(Navigation).

 

I have the Nav package and my iPhone paired with my max via blue tooth to where I can take calls from my car..

How do I get audio to play via BlueTooth?

 

If you have the 09 without bluetooth audio streaming (like I do) go pick up a Blackberry Stereo Gateway (search on Amazon for it) they work perfectly. plugs in, in my center console and my phone pairs with both it and my car so when I make a call it works through the car's built-in BT and when I'm streaming audio (usually from my tablet now but you can do it with your phone) it works through the Blackberry Stereo Gateway. The sound quality is crystal clear

 

You don't need a second Bluetooth connection, just one. Once your phone is connected via Bluetooth to make phone calls just start Pandora or Slacker or whatever you want to stream to the car and then scroll through the options on the radio until you see Bluetooth audio. In that option if your music is already playing on the phone you hit play on the screen and it should switch to playing thru the Maxima. If it doesn't play just hit menu and you should see your phone as the only BT connected device, select it and hit play if it doesn't start automatically.
There is only one BT connection from the phone to the car. You may just have to re-select the phone in the BT audio menu.

 

2009 Maxima's don't have bluetooth audio period, only bluetooth phone - they added that in 2010

 

I dont have an o9, but i have been using this bluetooth jabra cruiser 2 speaker phone with my iPhone and pandora for a while now. I use an iphone car mount, album art shows, but i dont really care. The speaker uses the same "FM transmitting" technologies as those early adapters, except this thing is wireless...i love technology!

 

blackberry music gateway is best way to go since our cars all have an aux in.

Mine is 2012 and I can stream pandora as well mp3 music from my phone via bluetooth.

 

those with 2012 do you have nav?? i dont have navigation on mine 2012 and can not figure it out , i want to be able to bt pandora please help
