It's a two stage pedal... some other cars have the same kind of feel. My friends 2007 Corvette kinda has the same deal.

It's the WOT switch. Pushing accelerator all the way down is ~80% throttle. Pushing it down past the WOT switch is ~92% (all according to what the ECM sees).

The WOT switch is just that....tells the ECM when you want to GO! It enters open loop WOT enrichment and the CVT allows the engine to rev higher yielding your best rpm and gear ratio for maximum hp and acceleration.

Trav

Every time you push the button all the way down, you magically lose 10mpg!

If the live fuel efficiency meter thing is anywhere close to accurate your mileage drops to like 2 - 4 mpg while at wide open throttle lol

Exactly..I do it every 5 seconds..10 miles..done!

Its an Accelerator Button. Just makes you accelerate faster. Not much to it. Its almost like the carpet is stuck when you press down, so you push harder..thats the accelerator button!

Its nice when your at a 40 dig..so I heard

It's like the "G spot", once you find it you'll know it.

It's an momentary window switch. Wire it in to your favorite accessory. Some might like an oil-slick, others might like the smoke-screen. I use it for a secondary air-horn switch!

This is exactly what I was going to say. In addition, most cars at WOT cut off things like your A/C compressor to give you max power while you have it floored.

There's no "button" to find. It's built into the accelerator pedal position sensor. People call it a button because it has the feel of pushing a button when you push the pedal all the way to the floor. It kind of clicks.

Seems like this button works different for everyone. When mine got pushed, the passenger side door opened and my wife fell out on the highway. Looks like mine was the most successful

Even got this on my Dodge Sprinter 2008... lot less impressive but on the highway it is practical just to force it to shift down, lets say before a hill....
