So got a quote from a lOcal Nissan Performace shop to install my Eibach's they said $290 I'm in PA wondered if that's high or a good price. Also should I get an alignment done right after or give it a week or two for the springs to settle? Appreciate the feedback.
I let them settle for a week then got an alignment. Came to find out my toe and camber was off (not sure if it was off before I dropped the car).
definitly let them settle for at least 5 days and as for the price it all depends on who u go to i had mine done for $150.00 but to be honest with u i found that the ride was really bouncy so i took them off! coilovers are the way to go so if u havent installed them yet think about it real good because that money can go towards ur coilovers i made that mistake FYI Good Luck bro..

Coilovers seem to be the most popular choice here, but the cost of a set of those is three times the cost of the spring set, unless someone has a good source for them.

It's called Import Intelligence they are in West Chester, PA know you're in Jersey but dont know how far.

I see it now...west of Philly. 72 miles away from me.
I'm leaning toward the springs as well. We have some driveway entrance angles here that are not friendly to a super-low suspension.
Also I feel like with Coils I'd prolly drop it like the same amount as the springs
btw take it to a shop you trust and ask IF you need an alignment at all. when I had my springs installed I did not need an alignment, everything was in spec. when I changed the offset (by adding spacers and then later different rims) THAT is when I needed an alignment. but if you just go to a shop and say "give me an alignment" they'll charge you for one regardless if you need it or not

Yeah man thanks. The place I will plan on going to called Import Intelligence friends of mine have dealt with them in the past so I trust them. But yeah I'll make sure I say do I need an alignment.
After you dropped your Maxima did you drive a few 100 miles then get the alignment checked?
Also to those of you out there that have the Eibach Pro Kit installed is the drop really 1.3 Front and 1.4 Rear or is it more like 2in all around heard that it is more like 2in all around

yeah i drove it around and asked my boy again few hundred miles later he said i was fine. it depends on if the car was ever aligned recently to begin with, i think some people just have a car thats out of alignment and install springs.

How is the ride?
After you got the Eibach springs installed, how was the ride compared to the stock springs? I really like the look of it lowered but not sure how the ride is going to be. I read some reviews and they talk about better gas mileage, is that true? Thanks, Tommy
The drop will be like 1.5 in the rear. Your steering response will improve, and because it is lower, you will be able to take corners at higher speeds if you choose. I really enjoy my Eibach drop. I think you will to.
Try VHP shop its located at 1302 E Tilghman St Allentown PA 18109. If you'll make it there ask for Serge his the owner and tell him that Tim from NY send you there. This dude been a mechanic for a while and his specialty is tuning so he should be able to give you a better price.

Eibach's kit, new wheels and ride quality
Gentlemen,
I want to lower the car and get new wheels--What would be the best wheel size to retain ride quality in a daily driver?
Keep in mind I am in Chicago and the roads are horrible.

anything bigger than 19's it may be a little more bumpy than you want for a DD. i stuck with 19's and put 245/19/40 Hankook tires on. kept my 18's for the winter due to the all-season tires. if you want 19's though and all-seasons, the Generals are pretty good tires
I'm in WA state (also with poor roads and drivers) and I will for now keep my 18" wheel/tire setup.
Still what to retain some balance between ride comfort and handling.
I'm too old to give a crap about a perfect "looking whip" at the sacrifice of ride quality. It's a daily driver for me right now.
Looking at something respectable with possible spacers to help out.
When you start out with the 7th Max you are a step ahead in the stylin dept IMOP!
My Eibachs just shipped today.
