Thumb Drive / Hard Drive / iPod?

Are you guys using iPods, thumb drives, or hard drives to bring music into your cars?

I have a very large collection of songs and want to figure out whether I can migrate the whole collection to the car (the hard drive compatibility seems spotty from what I've read) or scale it back to fit on either an iPod or thumb drive. I need in excess of 150 gigs of storage.

I have an iPod Nano, but it is primarily used for working out - I would like to have a somewhat permanent option in the car (I would like to leave whatever storage I decide on in the car indefinitely, except when to I need to transfer more music). The Nano also doesn't have the storage I need either.

Thanks guys.

I have a 60 gig iPod hooked in mine with about 10,000 songs on it. Works great as you can scroll through the menus and stuff just like from the iPod. That is if you have the nav option in your max.

I'm using the 160g ipod. You can pretty much store tons of music on it. I also have lots of music videos and serveral movies on it as well since it has lot's of storage. I have several various playlist that I can choose from depending on what I want to hear. When parked, I can view movies via the Apple cables. The car HD is pretty worthless since you can only dump CD music on it, not MP3's. Who buys CD's these days?

Not me!

I may need to see if I can find a refurb'd 160g iPod. Wouldn't hold my entire collection, but enough of it...

It charges the iPod as well, right?

as much memory as i have on my Android phone, and as bomb as it sounds when using poweramp to play tunes through the aux cable, being able to control tracks and view track info from the display of both the radio and my 80gb ipod clasic is just amazing. I love having the ipod. Plus you can find one pretty cheap if you search hard enough (under 100 for an 80gb ipod classic in feb this year.) I do love playing music though the aux cable using poweramp though. If you have an android phone, and love music, espescially hip hop, electronic, really any kind.
