trunk switch

I just found out the 7th gen has a switch in the glovebox that allows you to keep to trunk locked..which I think is ****ing brilliant!
Do any other cars have this? I've never seen this in any other car. Does this mean the Infiniti G sedans have this as well?

Most luxury cars have that feature now. My 2010 TL had the same thing.

You'd figure these days that all valets know about this switch in the glovebox...Not hard for them to open the glovebox, hit the switch, open your trunk, look through it, close the trunk and hit the switch again to lock it.

Unless this switch does something different than just lock the trunk?

You turn the switch in the glovebox that disables the remote unlock feature (dash switch or remote button), then lock the glovebox with the little key hidden in the remote. Give the remote to the valet and keep the little key.

The downside I see with this is that the ring for the remote stays on the little key; there's no way to attach tag to the remote without the ring.
