Transmission Noise

Wanted to give you 2009 owners a little feedback in regards to the CVT. My transmission, prior to really messing up on me, gave some warning signs that I did not recognize. There was always some clicking noise in the front end when I would start driving in the morning. The noise sounded like the CVC joints that were going out. The car has 50,000 on it right now. This was in case anyone starts hearing some funny clicking type noises coming from their front end in the future. Hope this helps out someone down the line.

The problem was the tranny. I just didn't realize that it when I was hearing the noises.

I bought the car used. Had it for exactly two years. That's the thing with used cars. Some times it's hit or miss.

It is not uncommon for clowns to buy a nice car new, abuse it horribly, doing things such as elapsed time runs with only a few hundred miles on the odo, race away from every light, etc, then dump the car after a year or two and grab another new car to abuse.

That is just one of several reasons I stopped buying used cars many decades ago. I won't post what I think of car abusers here, as I would be banned for life.

I totally agree with you. I just learned that recently. I love muscle cars and have been doing some research into purchasing a 2002 ss Camaro. A buddy schooled me on the cars with really low miles. Especially the ones with all the modifications. Live and learn I guess. My next car will be new, not playing this game anymore. Thanks for the info, learn something new everyday.
